Black stage molton is made of 100% cotton ( ) and weighs 300 g/m². The molton fabric is of high quality and first choice. Molton is roughened on both sides, non-reflective, opaque and light-proof. Its surface also improves room acoustics. Molton fabrics from allbuyone (stage molton and decorative molton) are flame retardant, B1-certified according to DIN 4102 and also comply with classification C-s1, d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1. Molton black B1 – flame retardant according to DIN 4102
Stage molton and decorative molton from allbuyone are generally flame retardant. The molton is flame retardant and complies with classification C-s1, d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1. In addition, molton is flame retardant B1 according to DIN 4102, which is still valid in Germany, and also complies with EN 13773 -c1.

Opaque, light-proof and more: properties of black stage molton
Stage molton is woven in a dense twill weave, the surface is double roughened and the fabric weight is 300g/m². This results in additional properties that make black molton fabric a versatile technical fabric.

The twill weave produces a particularly dense fabric. This makes the molton opaque. Stage molton is therefore often used for opaque curtains, such as opaque stage curtains or backdrops, as well as for privacy curtains. - Stage molton is opaque
Molton with 300g is generally opaque, and in black, anthracite and dark blue, stage molton is even light-proof. With the black cotton fabric, rooms can be darkened by up to 95%. Ideal as a blackout fabric or for light-proof backgrounds. - Stage molton – good for room acoustics
Stage molton is roughened on both sides. The roughening increases the surface area and thus results in a high degree of absorption: in combination with its heavy weight (300g), stage molton is sound-absorbing. Stage molton thus influences the sound quality in studios and rehearsal rooms, among other places. Stage molton is one of the so-called "porous absorbers"; medium and high frequencies are absorbed very well, for example by wall cladding. - Black molton is light-absorbing thanks to its matt, roughened surface
The roughened surface also absorbs light. This makes stage molton in black ideal as a non-reflective curtain fabric. It guarantees professional effects and is suitable as a matt photo background and for other background systems. Strong spotlights do not reflect back into the auditorium, and camera flashes are also absorbed by the fabric.

Cotton stage molton – important care instructions
Like any other flame-retardant impregnated event molton, black stage molton also loses its flame-retardant properties through washing, cleaning, ironing, damp storage, mechanical stress and treatment in a tumble dryer. As black molton is mostly used at public events, in theatres, on stages, etc., this should be taken into account!

When used correctly, the fabric will once again comply with B1 quality standards. Impregnating several metres of stage molton, such as large-format stage fabrics, is particularly time-consuming and expensive. If the fabric is very dirty, it is therefore cheaper to buy new molton.
