Accessibility information
Service description
The online shop at allbuyone.com offers products for events. Businesses as well as consumers can purchase event accessories for all types of events and receive professional advice.
The offered products can be found using the product search field and the main navigation bar. Information about each product is provided in the form of text and images. On the product pages, there will be displayed other recommended products and similar items as alternatives to make your selection easier. If you are interested in a product, you can add it to a wish list, which works without being logged-, or place it directly in your shopping cart to complete your purchase. Before ordering a product, you must register as a customer at allbuyone.com. After you have entered a delivery address and selected a payment method, a summary of your order will be displayed. The billing and delivery addresses as well as the payment method can be adjusted if necessary. Changes to the shopping cart are also still possible at this stage.
Applicable accessibility requirements
The accessibility requirements for us arise from the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), in particular from § 14 BFSG in conjunction with § 3 (1) BFSG with reference to the Regulation on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV), which implements the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
Compliance with accessibility requirements
The online shop allbuyone.com largely complies with the essential technical requirements of the BFSGV to ensure that our offering is accessible to all people, regardless of their abilities. Below, we have summarized our measures to meet the most important requirements and the degree to which they have been met, structured by the four accessibility criteria of perceivability, operability, comprehensibility and robustness:
Perceivability
On our website, we strive to provide content via more than one sensory channel to enable barrier-free use.
- Audio and video content: Currently, the video content is not equipped with subtitles or transcripts. We are working on providing textual alternatives in the future to enable access for hearing-impaired users.
- Visual information (e.g. images, icons): Most visual content already has alternative text or has been made accessible through ARIA attributes. Individual elements are currently being reviewed and supplemented as necessary to optimize use with screen readers.
- Forms and navigation: The structure of the page is based on semantic HTML. We are gradually implementing ARIA roles and keyboard navigation to ensure usability for people with motor impairments.
- Our website has a high-contrast mode that offers an alternative display with high color contrast to make content more visible for users with impaired vision, contrast sensitivity or color perception disorders. High-contrast mode can be activated and deactivated via a clearly visible button on the website.
- Some graphic elements and embedded content on our website do not yet fully comply with accessibility contrast requirements. In particular, some images or image texts do not have the required high color contrast. In addition, the design of embedded content is only customizable to a limited extent, as it often originates from external providers and its styling is beyond our direct control.
Operability
- Our website can be operated entirely by using the keyboard. All central functions can be accessed using the tab key and activated with the enter key. The focus sequence generally follows a logical order, and the focus is largely visible. The focus sequence largely follows a logical order, and the focus is mostly visible.
- The website does not contain any flashing or rapidly animated content that could increase the risk of epileptic seizures. No content that flashes more than three times per second is used.
- The registration process and payment process are largely designed to be accessible. The forms are mostly clearly labelled, accessible via keyboard and follow a logical input sequence.
Comprehensibility
- The content on our website is mostly written in clear and comprehensible language. However, technical terms from the event industry are used in various places, likewise figurative language and longer sentence structures. This content does not fully meet the requirements for simple language.
- Due to the thematic focus on event equipment, technical terms or abbreviations are used in some cases. To support users, the website offers its own event glossary, which explains terms in an understandable way.
- Forms, especially those used in the ordering and registration process, are clearly labelled. Mandatory fields are marked accordingly. In the event of incorrect entries, error messages are displayed, so that users are specifically alerted to problems and are able to correct them. The inscription and feedback are provided in text form and are visually easy to associate with the relevant input fields.
- Currently, error messages are only visually recognizable. In the future, they will be implemented in a way that they are also clearly identifiable and readable for screen readers.
Robustness
- The website was created using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and is based on the principles of semantic structuring and program-controlled accessibility.
- The website is largely compatible with common assistive technologies, in particular screen readers (such as VoiceOver and NVDA) and keyboard operation.
- Nevertheless, there may be limitations in some areas: for example, the reading flow for screen reader users is not yet optimal, and keyboard navigation does not work completely reliably in certain areas. We are working to gradually identify and remove these barriers.
Our internal tests covered various screen sizes (desktop, tablet, smartphone) and browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) to check the functionality and display of the website on different devices.
