The molton curtain made of stage molton (300 g/m²) is a high-quality stage curtain with excellent properties. The molton fabric is roughened on both sides, sound-absorbing, opaque and almost impervious to light. The molton is also flame-resistant in accordance with DIN 4102. The curtain has eyelets at the top, spaced 25 cm apart, and the top edge is additionally reinforced with a webbing strap. The remaining sides are hemmed or finished with a woven edge.
The eyelet molton curtain can be used as a stage curtain, backdrop and theatre curtain.

In addition, Molton is flame retardant B1 according to the DIN 4102, which is still valid in Germany, and certified according to EN 13773. The curtains have brass eyelets (20 mm diameter, rustproof, nickel-plated) at 25 cm intervals along the upper edge. In addition, the upper edge is reinforced with an internal webbing. The side edges have firm selvedges, the lower edge is hemmed and protected from fraying (the 6 x 3 m stage curtain has hemmed side edges and a woven edge at the bottom).

Is the Molton curtain suitable for sound insulation?
Stage molton is a tightly woven cotton fabric that is roughened on both sides. This gives the theatre curtain sound-absorbing properties, which improves the acoustics by absorbing sound. However, stage fabrics can only contribute to sound absorption. Structural measures are essential for sound insulation.
Fixing the stage curtains
Various accessories are available for hanging curtains. The Molton Curtain with grommets can be hung from(curtain) rods or ropes.
If the curtain is used as a backdrop, it can be tightened using bungee cords.
Can the molton curtain be washed? Care instructions
Event Molton is made of 100% cotton and is generally very easy to care for. However, the flame retardant treatment can be lost through washing and ironing. This can also happen if the material is stored in damp conditions for long periods. The flame retardant treatment can be renewed using a bio-retardant agent, but the fabric will only comply with DIN 4102 if the flame retardant is applied correctly.
