Molton rolls are easy and time-saving to process

Stage molton is not only a technical all-rounder – the manageable roll lengths, unlike heavy bales, make it easy and time-saving to work with. No cutting or tearing required. The machine-cut edges fray minimally and can be secured with adhesive tape, self-adhesive hook-and-loop tape, or staples.

Flame-retardant molton roll according to DIN 4102 / EN 13501-1 Cs1-d0

The molton fabrics from allbuyone are suitable for use at events and in public spaces. They are treated to be flame-retardant and comply with strict fire safety regulations. Stage and decorative molton are certified to DIN 4102 B1 and classified as EN 13773, EN 13501-1 Cs1-d0.

Molton properties

Stage molton is opaque. The dense, heavy fabric allows for the opaque separation of backstage areas and the concealment of cables, technical equipment, and other gear. Trusses and stage elements can be elegantly covered and clad with molton.

Black stage molton is lightproof. It provides effective visual screening from illuminated backstage areas for the audience. As a rule: the darker the shade of the molton roll, the higher its lightproofing. Black stage molton can be used to effectively darken rooms or mask light flashes.

Stage molton absorbs sound and light. The napped surface prevents reflections and glare, making molton an ideal background fabric for studios or as a stage backdrop. Combined with its heavy weight, molton dampens sound. Stage molton curtains, for example, absorb background noise from the audience, improve room acoustics, and reduce echo. Additionally, the heavy molton fabric enhances sound quality, which is why it is often used as an acoustic fabric.

Stage molton provides thermal insulation. When used as a thermal curtain, such as in entrance areas of hospitality and hotel venues, molton curtains protect against draughts and help retain warmth in rooms.

Stage molton is robust and durable. The thick fabric is resilient and long-lasting. The fire protection impregnation can be renewed at any time after washing.

Notes on flame-retardant molton rolls

Please note that molton rolls are treated with flame retardants, meaning the fire protection treatment is applied to the fabric using flame retardants. Heavy mechanical stress, damp storage, and washing molton rolls can cause the fabric to lose its fire-retardant properties. Molton fabric can be re-treated with flame retardants.
