Stage mesh B1 is a dimensionally stable and highly tear-resistant PE plastic net, which is mainly used in stage construction and grandstand construction. The privacy and wind protection net is suitable, for example, for covering open-air stages, grandstands and PA systems. Depending on the intended use, weather conditions and stage exposure, we offer five different mesh structures to choose from. As a general rule of thumb for the use of stage mesh, the finer the mesh, the more opaque the stagenet. The coarser the mesh, the more permeable it is to sound, wind and rain.

Stage gauze material properties
Stage mesh is a polyethylene plastic net that is particularly tear-resistant and dimensionally stable. The water-repellent stage mesh is weather-resistant. This protects technology, artists and the stage from the elements. Stage mesh is soundproof for PA sound systems.

Stage gauze B1 flame retardant
Stage gauze is a flame-retardant plastic net and is B1-certified in accordance with DIN 4102. The stage net can therefore be used at public events. Some stage gauze also has empa " " or M1 certification. This allows it to be used on stages and open-air stages in Switzerland and France.
UV resistance of PE meshes
Depending on your requirements, you can obtain UV-stable or UV-resistant stage mesh. The UV stability of the mesh excludes flame retardancy and vice versa:
- flame-retardant B1 stage gauze is UV-resistant for up to two years
- Normally flammable mesh is UV-stable for up to 10 years, depending on exposure to sunlight
What stage gauze is available from allbuyone?
Depending on the location of the stage, weather and intended use, we offer the following plastic nets. The individual meshes differ in terms of their permeability. Important for stage construction: dense knitting is more impervious to sound and wind, but also to rain.
- Mesh 201 – particularly coarse mesh, wind and sound permeability of approx. 50%
- Mesh 202 – coarse-mesh stage mesh with approx. 37% permeability
- Mesh 203 – fine mesh with approx. 27% permeability
- Mesh 800 – fine-mesh stage mesh with approx. 20% permeability
- Mesh 100 – very fine-mesh stage mesh with approx. 16% permeability
Can the stagenet be printed on?
In principle, any knitted fabric can be printed on. However, none of the stage gauzes mentioned above achieve satisfactory printing results and are less suitable for use as advertising nets or advertising screens.

Stage gauze – application
Stage netting is often used in the construction of concert stages for a variety of reasons. Stage netting is used to create privacy screens and windbreaks for stages and grandstands. Stage netting is often printed, especially for large events, festivals and open-air concerts. The high-resolution print results on stage gauze made of mesh vinyl provide high-quality advertising space. This makes stage gauze ideal for company advertising and sponsor advertising. Printable wind protection nets are also ideal as band banners.
Stage mesh as grandstand cladding
The wind permeability of stage mesh for open-air stages and grandstand construction is a prerequisite for safe stage construction. The larger the stage screens or grandstand screens are designed, the more susceptible these stage covers or grandstand covers are to wind loads. Stage gauze is also used to cover platforms, PA towers and delay towers. Side walls of flying structures, side wings or backdrops should also be made of wind-permeable stage gauze.
Stage gauze as a view protection net
In backstage areas of stage constructions, stage gauze is often used as a privacy screen. Barriers made of fence panels and fence coverings with stage gauze ensure privacy for the artists. Pathways and information areas on fences at open-air events can also be made from stage gauze. Certain stage gauzes made of mesh vinyl produce digital prints of the highest brilliance. Mesh vinyl stage gauze is therefore also popular for covering PA systems and construction fences. Advertising banners and advertising panels can be easily attached to these wind protection nets.
