Green molton is a molton fabric that is frequently used in the event sector, at trade fairs and on stages. You can buy molton by the metre from 3 running metres or as whole bales. Molton is certified as flame-resistant in accordance with DIN 4102 B1 and EN 13773-c1. The molton fabric is 300 cm wide. Its surface is roughened on both sides. Molton green - properties
Molton green is a German quality product made from 100% cotton ( ). Molton B1 has special properties thanks to its special manufacturing process. The molton fabric is roughened on both sides so that it does not reflect light. The surface of molton is soft and fluffy, giving any room a special atmosphere.
The fabric of stage molton is particularly tightly woven and therefore opaque and opaque. The surface and the high weight of 300 g/m² give stage molton sound-absorbing properties. At trade fairs, on stage and at events, stage molton by the metre is therefore used for sound insulation and ensures particularly good room acoustics at concerts.
Decorative molton is the lightweight version at 160 g/m²; this molton fabric is ideal for ceiling suspensions, decorations and translucent installations. Decorative molton is not light-tight and has only low sound-absorbing properties.
Molton B1 – flame-retardant fabric
Stage molton and decorative molton are flame-retardant fabrics ( ) in accordance with DIN 4102 B1 and EN 13773-c1. The green molton fabric is certified in accordance with German and European fire safety standards for use in events, on public stages in theatres and schools, and in exhibition stand construction. Molton green therefore meets most official safety standards.

Molton green - dimensions
Molton can be ordered by the metre in a width of 300 cm. Of course, we also offer green molton fabric on 60 m rolls or individually sewn. We also stock pre-cut sizes as greenscreen backgrounds.
Molton green: the ideal green box fabric
Green molton, usually stage molton, is used in digital film and television editing and in photography for image isolation. Greenscreen molton is used as a key colour in the so-called chroma key process. As the colour of stage molton green contrasts particularly clearly with human skin colour, this makes image isolation much easier.
A pixel in a modern digital video camera consists of one blue, one red and two green pixels. The double green information makes the overall impression of the image bright and vivid. The matt surface of the greenscreen fabric also prevents reflections.
Hanging green molton
If you want to hang up your uncut stage molton by the metre, allbuyone has useful accessories in stock for you. You can attach the molton customised with clamp eyelets. The molton clamps guarantee wrinkle-free tensioning of the photo background fabric. You can use coloured adhesive tape or special matt adhesive tape to stick stage molton green to surfaces.
Washing and caring for molton
Molton green is a 100% cotton fabric. Molton can generally be washed, ironed and cleaned, but this compromises the flame retardant impregnation. Molton can also shrink and become fuzzy. Moisture, temperatures above 30°C and dry cleaning also counteract the fire protection impregnation. With a suitable flame retardant impregnation, green stage molton can be made flame retardant again.
