Wind protection nets are used in a variety of ways at events and on construction sites. As wind protection nets on fences, as large-format wind protection fabric for scaffolding or as side protection nets for stages, the net protects against wind and draughts.
Most wind protection nets are flame-retardant in accordance with DIN 4102 B1, or alternatively, the protective nets are UV-resistant. Depending on the application, you can order the wind protection net as roll goods, cut to size by the metre or in ready-made standard sizes with eyelets. - Protection value (varies depending on mesh size): 73-84%
- Wind permeability (varies depending on mesh size): 16-27%
- Material: HDPE fabric (mesh, unprinted) or mesh vinyl (mesh, printed)
- Available colours: black, white, red, yellow, orange, green, light blue, blue, grey
*The material is either flame retardant or UV stabilised (8-10 years). The properties correlate with each other, so a wind protection net can only have one of the two properties.

Wind protection and privacy protection at events
The wind protection net is used in many ways at events:
As fence screens, they protect various areas from draughts and wind, but thanks to their net-like structure, they do not offer a closed surface for wind to attack.
When used as side protection nets on stages, the nets also offer protection from draughts and strong winds.
The fine-mesh protective nets can also be used as view protection nets. Construction fences equipped with the wind-permeable fence mesh reliably shield sanitary facilities, technical areas and VIP zones from prying eyes.
Lighting and sound engineers also use fence tarps as shade nets to protect equipment from overheating in strong sunlight. However, more permeable fence tarps should be used in high wind conditions.
View protection nets with B1 certification in accordance with DIN 4102 may also be used indoors. They meet the safety standards for public events.
Wind-permeable protective nets on construction sites
On construction sites, the net is also used as wind protection and privacy protection. The wind protection nets in the size 3.41 x 1.76 m are particularly popular here, as they are made to fit perfectly on a construction fence.
Note: The wind protection fabric is not suitable as a cover tarpaulin, as moisture also passes through the wind-permeable net structure.

Accessories for installing wind protection nets
Depending on the design, there are various options for attaching privacy and wind protection nets:
To attach protective nets with eyelets without creases, we recommend bungee cords. An elastic expander rope can also be used.
Our tip: The bungee cords with toggles make attachment particularly quick: the bungee cords are attached to the fence, poles or similar once, the toggles are inserted through the eyelets and can be quickly and easily removed again.
For one-time fixing, the wind protection net can also be attached with cable ties. As the close-meshed privacy net is very tear-resistant, even un-eyeleted nets can be attached using cable ties that are pushed through the mesh.
Cleaning the fence screen
If the privacy net becomes dirty, it can be cleaned with water and a mild detergent. Please do not use chlorine-based cleaning agents and store the privacy net in a dry place afterwards! The rolls should be rolled up and stored flat so that the wind protection net remains free of creases and kinks.
