What is mesh?
Mesh is an extremely tear-resistant and robust polyethylene net fabric. The PE plastic net is available in various structures. Depending on the weave, mesh can be very finely woven and therefore dense. Coarsely woven plastic nets are more permeable, e.g. to wind, light and sound. When using mesh, it should be noted that the coarser the mesh, the less opaque it is.
Mesh is mostly used as a wind protection net and view protection net. For outdoor events, the mesh is ideal as a wind-permeable fence screen, grandstand or stage covering, and as a protective net for PA systems. On construction sites, mesh with eyelets can be used as a container net. For private use, shading nets or sun sails can be sewn.
We offer mesh in various structures, with grammages and, above all, wind permeability varying between 16% and 50%. You can purchase the mesh from allbuyone by the metre, in whole rolls or custom-made to your specifications.

*UV-stable mesh
The material properties of UV stability and flame retardancy are mutually exclusive in mesh. Mesh can be manufactured to be either flame retardant or particularly UV-stable. Flame-retardant mesh is only UV-resistant for approx. 1-2 years (varies depending on exposure to sunlight), whereas normally flammable, UV-stabilised mesh is UV-stable for approx. 5-7 years (mesh 800) or 8-10 years (mesh 215).
Mesh B1 flame retardant
Flame-retardant mesh is permanently flame-retardant and B1-certified in accordance with DIN 4102. B1 mesh complies with the strict fire safety regulations that apply at many events.
Can mesh be printed on?
Mesh is a net-like fabric that does not deliver optimal printing results. For high-resolution digital printing results, we recommend mesh vinyl. This is a surface-treated mesh fabric, also known as mesh banner, for air-permeable advertising printing.

Mesh – used as a view protection net and wind protection net
Mesh is a multi-talented product. Depending on its structure, the net can be used as a windpermeable privacy screen or wind protection net. But there are many other possible uses. Mesh is used in a variety of industries, for example as:

Mesh for stage construction
Mesh is used in stage construction in many places as a view protection or wind protection net. In stage construction, mesh is particularly suitable as a wind-permeable stage covering. Stagenet is used in stage construction, especially for open-air stages. For PA sound systems on stages, mesh is used to cover PA equipment. This mesh is particularly sound-permeable and is still able to protect the festival equipment.
The air permeability of the mesh plays a special role in flying structures for calculating wind loads. In addition, the view protection net is particularly dimensionally stable. The stage construction is easy to carry out thanks to time-saving attachment with cable ties.
A special form for stage requirements is (printed) PA mesh. These are nets that are used for stage decoration and stage design. Strictly speaking, PA mesh is not mesh, but mesh vinyl. In technical jargon, however, it is referred to as PA mesh.
These stage meshes are usually manufactured as mesh banners or vinyl banners with special shapes. For concert stages, you can have banners printed on this mesh, place sponsor advertising or design advertising panels for PA wings.
Mesh is not only used for stage coverings. Layer towers and FOH coverings are also made with mesh.
Mesh for grandstand construction
Grandstand cladding is usually made of mesh. Calculating the wind loads with the specified wind permeability of the mesh guarantees safe grandstand construction.
Mesh as a view protection net at events
Mesh is suitable for events to provide privacy on mobile construction fences for securing the site. Long sticks of the fence net view protection are used for this purpose. In backstage areas, mesh is often installed on construction fences as a view protection net.
Mesh as a sprinkler net for trade fair requirements
Sprinkler-compatible ceiling suspensions or ceiling hangers are required in exhibition construction. Sprinkler nets are also permanently flame-retardant ceiling hanger fabrics. The mesh comes with a B1 certificate in accordance with DIN 4102 for use as trade fair supplies.
Please note: Mesh does not have VdS certification. Please check with the exhibition management in advance to find out which regulations apply to sprinkler-compatible materials.
Mesh as a view protection/wind protection net and dust protection net on construction sites
Mesh is often used to cover construction site fences. When attached to construction site fences as a view protection net, mesh provides a wind-permeable privacy screen for construction sites. As scaffolding nets, mesh can be used to cover entire facades in a wind-permeable manner. Mesh is also suitable as a wind protection net to prevent the spread of dust. Mesh protects people and equipment from dust and dirt on construction sites.
View protection net and wind protection net for balconies
Mesh is also suitable as balcony privacy protection. The large selection of colours guarantees attractive, windpermeable balcony cladding. The weather-resistant and colourfast privacy protection made of plastic remains dimensionally stable for years.
