Youcan buy LDPE foil in the allbuyone shop from a wide range of products in various qualities. This black foil, approx. 100 my thick, is made of strong polyethylene LD with 95% recycled content and measures 4 m x 50 m (width x length). For easier transport, these foils are supplied on 1 m wide rolls, on which the black LDPE foil is folded four times.
Whether for packaging, covering technical equipment or a pallet on site, or to protect freshly laid floor coverings from dirt, dust and moisture, the black LDPE foil offers high stability. The material is waterproof, elastic, tear-resistant and can be used for various applications. Are you looking for a different LDPE foil? This 100 my foil from our own brand GRIP Eventbasics is also available in transparent. We also offer a wide range of other foils in different thicknesses and colours, normal and flame-retardant, stretch film in black and transparent, and PVC lacquer foil. Good prices and fast shipping included!

The black LDPE foil with a thickness of 100 my can be used for a wide range of applications in event supplies. It offers good stability and reliable protection against dirt, dust, water and chemical influences. The polyethylene LD foil is tear-resistant, flexible and elastic.
You can buy the LDPE foil here in whole rolls. The flat foil measures 4 m x 50 m (width x length) and is folded four times on a 1 m roll.
The black foil in a thickness of 100 my is a high-quality accessory and impresses with the following properties:
Please note: LD PE foils are highly stable over a wide temperature range and under various chemical influences. The melting point of this polyethylene foil is approx. 110°C. Please note, however, that the material can become brittle or fragile under constant UV exposure and in extreme cold.
You can order various LD PE foils from our range . Black opaque, transparent or translucent (opaque). Flame-retardant PE foils with 60, 120 and 200 my in black and translucent are also available especially for use at public events.
In addition, you can also order lacquer foil, air-cushion film and stretch film in black and transparent from our online shop. Haven't found the right foil yet? In general, we can order any suitable foil for you on request , according to your individual requirements .
In industry, LDPE flat foil in a thin quality is often processed as flexible food packaging (cling film) – contact with food is therefore generally not a problem with LDPE material. As stretch film, elastic LDPE foils are often used as packaging material for securing loads, for example to wrap around a pallet. The plastic is also widely used as construction foil with low water vapour permeability.
Flexible PE foils are also used for various applications in the event industry. Here, the foil provides quick and reliable protection! As a cover foil, for example , the flat foil is particularly tear-resistant and offers good protection against water, dirt and dust. The black colour offers a further advantage: it protects the equipment on stage in a particularly inconspicuous manner. Transparent and translucent foils are suitable for special effects with light, while black foils are often used for darkening.
Are you looking for a foil for darkening? For this purpose, we recommend the 100% opaque 120 my foil in black, which we offer in B1 quality (flame retardant).
Polyethylene is the most important plastic for the production of film. In general, polyethylene has low hardness, rigidity and strength, but has high elasticity, impact resistance and sliding friction. PE can be produced as foil in two different versions: HDPE (high-density polyethylene), a polyethylene with high density, and LDPE (low-density polyethylene), a polyethylene with lower density. The difference between the two materials therefore lies in their density and the arrangement of the molecular chains, which can be easily detected by touch.
HDPE has longer molecular chains in its plastic production. This means that this polyethylene is rigid and stiff, feels harder, has high tensile strength and rustles when touched. Typical products include tarpaulins made from HDPE tape fabric. LDPE foils, on the other hand, are manufactured with highly branched but shorter molecular chains and thus with a lower density ( ). These foils hardly rustle, they feel thicker and much softer ( ) despite having the same thickness.
In contrast to HDPE foils, LDPE foils are significantly more flexible, elastic and also more stretchable and adaptable to different shapes.
The difference between HDPE and LDPE can also be easily identified by the recycling symbol. The recycling code for LDPE is PE-LD 04, while for HDPE it is PE-HD 02. Both plastics can be disposed of separately in the plastic bin or at public recycling centres.
