The B1 transparent film is a robust protective film for event equipment. With a thickness of 200 my, this film is the thickest in our range and is extremely stable and tear-resistant. The high-quality foil made of LDPE (polyethylene) is temperature-resistant and weather-resistant and flame retardant, it has a B1 certificate according to DIN 4102. You can buy the B1 transparent foil in white as a roll with 4 x 25 m (width x length) – at a low price from our own brand GRIP Eventbasics.

B1 transparent – flame retardant cover foil
The flame-retardant PE foil protects stage equipment, floors and other accessories during production as a cover foil. The polyethylene foil is stretchable and extremely tear-resistant, weatherproof and temperature-resistant. In addition, the B1 foil is certified as flame retardant and thus meets the safety requirements for fire protection. At allbuyone, you can buy B1 transparent film in white on a roll measuring 4 x 25 m. For easier transport, the film is folded to a width of 1 m on the roll.

Note: The B1 foil has a black print on the long side (on the 25 m side) with information on its flame retardancy. The print runs continuously along the long side of the foil and is approx. 1-2 cm from the edge. If necessary, you can cut away the printed edge, which will result in a loss of approx. 3-4 cm of material. This print may save you from having to provide separate B1 certification when the film is inspected by fire safety officers.
Note: PE foils can become brittle due to extreme cold or prolonged UV radiation. In general, the foils have a high temperature resistance, but in extreme heat (melting point approx. 110°C) the material can melt and in extreme cold and prolonged UV radiation it can also become brittle.

B1 transparent flame retardant in accordance with DIN 4102
The PE foil is flame retardant and B1 certified according to DIN 4102. This means that the foil meets the strict fire safety requirements that apply at most events.
LDPE foil B1 – Application
Thanks to their good material properties, PE foils can be used in a variety of ways. In the event sector, they are used as waterproof cover foils for equipment: Cases, stage equipment and other accessories are protected from moisture and rain. As the foil is resistant to diesel and heating oil, it is also suitable as floor protection foil under diesel generators at events. For safety reasons, the foil should be laid in several layers. The foils can also be used to protect freshly laid floors before the event, to cover the stage floor or as packaging film for pallets or large objects. The high elasticity and good tear resistance allow flexible use, even on uneven floors or over angular equipment. Further areas of application are: cladding of temporary structures, dust walls, etc.

LPDE and HDPE foils – the differences
The two polyethylene versions, LDPE and HDPE, differ in a number of ways. LDPE (low-density polyethylene) is a material with low density and highly branched polymer chains.
Fastening PE foil rolls
Whether as construction foil, cover or packaging film – the flame-retardant PE foil is easiest to attach with adhesive tape. For this purpose, we recommend either double-sided adhesive tape or single-sided gaffa tape with excellent adhesive strength. The PE foil can be easily cut to the desired size. A tacker is also suitable for fixing it in place; you will find the right tackers and tacker pins in our shop.
Disposing of PE foils correctly
The LDPE foil can be disposed of properly at any public recycling centre or in the plastic bin. The recycling code for LDPE is PE-LD 04.
