The B1 transparent foil is a 60 micron thick LDPE (polyethylene) foil from our own brand GRIP Eventbasics. The foil is relatively tear-resistant, robust (puncture resistance 2.5 g/µm) and elastic, as well as waterproof. The foilis certified flame retardant and complies with fire protection class B1 according to DIN 4102.
The waterproof foil serves as a cover foil and protective foil for event equipment, floor coverings and various accessories, providing excellent protection against moisture and dirt. Thanks to its B1 certificate, the foil can be used indoors and outdoors in transparent foil colours. Due to its transparency, the material and equipment can still be seen when wrapped. The transparent foils can also be used for decorative purposes (e.g. as glass simulation). Whether at trade fairs, festivals, concerts, in the theatre or at any other event – the flame-retardant protective foil is a must -have in any event organiser's standard equipment.

Thanks to its colour (transparent), the foil is ideal as a transparent cover foil and waterproof protective foil, reliably protecting the covered objects from dirt, moisture and rain while still allowing them to be clearly visible. Note: The foil is printed with a black notice on the long edge (50 m side) indicating that it is flame retardant ( ). The print is continuous along the long side of the foil and is approx. 1-2 cm from the edge. If necessary, you can cut away the printed edge, which will result in a loss of approx. 3-4 cm of material. When the event is inspected by a fire safety officer, this print may save you from having to obtain an additional B1 test certificate.
Please note: The B1 transparent foil is very temperature-resistant and resistant to many chemicals. However, the LDPE foil can melt in extreme heat (melting point approx. 110°C). The material can also become brittle in extreme frost or prolonged UV exposure.

PE foils flame retardant according to fire protection class B1 (DIN 4102)
The LDPE foil is certified according to DIN 4102 B1 and is therefore flame retardant. Normal foils accelerate fire. The flame retardant B1 transparent foil, on the other hand, is self-extinguishing. This means that the PE foil can be used without hesitation at public events, as it complies with fire safety regulations.

The B1 transparent foil is ideal as a cover foil. Whether at trade fairs, concerts or other events – the foil keeps out rain and dirt, thus protecting your equipment from moisture and contamination. It is particularly important to use flame-retardant foils during events. The B1 transparent foil complies with fire protection class B1 according to DIN 4102 " " and can be used without hesitation at events.
The foil is extremely useful: thanks to the transparent colour of the foil, the equipment can still be easily seen when covered, so that stage conversions, for example, can be carried out more quickly and easily. In addition, the transparent film means that even wrapped monitors can still be used by artists during performances. The B1 transparent film is also very useful in theatres, especially for stage construction. The film is ideal for decorating, e.g. as a glass simulation. The film also serves as a carpet protection film for covering freshly laid exhibition carpets and other sensitive surfaces and floor coverings – clean until the event begins! The 4 metre wide film roll with a length of 50 metres allows for easy and particularly fast work.
Storage information: If possible, we recommend storing the foil in closed rooms protected from sunlight at a room temperature of approx. 20°C (+/- 10°C) and a relative humidity of approx. 30 - 90%.
