Tensioners and clamps as accessories for mounting your tarpaulin
Whether you want to use the tarpaulin bungee cords for trailer or cover tarpaulins, tents, sun sails and much more – rubber bungee cords and Holdon® clips are the ideal accessories for fastening. They offer many advantages: they can be easily attached without tools and removed again without any problems, e.g. on scaffolding, frames, poles, construction fences and much more. They are also weather and UV resistant and therefore ideal for outdoor use.
Elastic bungee cords for tarpaulins with eyelets
Rubber tensioners are extremely elastic – a decisive advantage when used outdoors, especially in strong winds, e.g. at festivals and other outdoor events, at trade fairs and for large-format banners at lofty heights! Unlike rigid cable ties, tarpaulin bungee cords absorb wind movements on the tarpaulin extremely well and ensure greater safety. The risk of one of the eyelets (aluminium or plastic) tearing out is also significantly reduced.
Holdon® clips for tarpaulins without eyelets
The Holdon® clips are clamped directly to the tarpaulins, and then a bungee cord, (expander) rope, cable ties or similar are pulled through. Depending on the fastening method chosen, the clamping eyelets can be attached either firmly (e.g. using rigid cable ties) or spring-loaded (e.g. using elastic bungee cords). The latter is particularly recommended for high wind loads.

Rubber bungee cords with PVC hooks
The classic bungee cord with break-proof hook fastener (including retaining tab) is versatile and can be used without tools, and its high quality is impressive. The bungee cord can be loaded with up to 15 kg (30 kg when closed) and stretched to approx. 110% of its normal length. This provides sufficient flexibility in windy conditions.
Bungee loops with plastic toggle
The bungee loops are equipped with a break-proof toggle (T-piece) at one end. The rubber rope made of natural rubber offers optimum stabilisation and is also very stretchy (max. load capacity approx. 20 kg). Particularly practical: the bungee cord can remain directly on the pole, so that another tarpaulin can be attached immediately!
Tarpaulin bungee cords with toggle and locking hook
This is not a closed loop, but a highly elastic expander rope with a wide hook fastener at one end and a particularly long toggle at the other end. The product can be stretched up to 140% of its normal length and holds loads up to max. 25 kg. This tarpaulin bungee cord can also be left attached to the construction fence and reloaded at any time.
Bungee cords with metal spiral hooks
The metal hook of this bungee cord is significantly larger and more robust than the PVC fasteners. The bungee cord is therefore mainly used for large and heavy materials. The metal hook can also be hooked directly into eyelets, offering a particularly simple, stable and secure method of attachment (max. load capacity approx. 20 kg). We have two sizes of this bungee cord in our range: Choose the 15 cm bungee cord for thinner poles or if the gap between the tarpaulin and the frame needs to be small. The 15 cm bungee cords give the secured material less slack due to their shorter length, so we recommend them primarily for indoor use. The 25 cm version is suitable for thicker poles or allows more leeway, e.g. in windy conditions. The 25 cm long tensioners are therefore also ideal for outdoor use. The bungee cords can also remain on the scaffolding with their loops, allowing the attached material to be quickly replaced.

This bungee tie consists of an expander rope with a ball closure: To close, pass the loop through the eyelets, place around the scaffolding or poles and pull over the ball – it couldn't be easier! This makes this bungee cord ideal for attaching advertising and cover tarpaulins quickly and securely. These bungee cords can be loaded with approx. 50 kg (when doubled).
For tarpaulins without eyelets: Holdon® clips
The patented holder system is used in conjunction with bungee cords, cable ties or other fastening aids, which are attached to the eyelets of the Holdon® clips. No additional tools are required for fastening.
Holdon® Mini Clip
The clamping eyelets made of glass fibre reinforced nylon serve as fastening clips for materials without eyelets. They consist of two parts connected by a retaining bracket. The cover tarpaulin is placed between the two parts and these are pushed together. A ratchet lock guarantees secure and material-friendly fastening to the cover tarpaulin or similar. Finally, a bungee cord, expander rope, carabiner or similar is threaded through the eyelet of the Holdon® Clip to secure it in place. The advantage: the higher the load, the better the clip holds! The Holdon® Mini Clip is suitable for loads up to 45 kg with a maximum thickness of 1.5 mm.
Holdon® Midi Clip
The Holdon® Midi Clip works in the same way as the Holdon® Mini Clip, but is larger, can bear loads of up to 70 kg and is suitable for thicknesses of up to 5 mm.
