The PVC panels can be connected to each other using a circumferential groove ( ) and are quick and easy to lay, offering good stability and high load-bearing capacity – whether for securing paths , transport or supply routes, as a base or substructure for mobile construction fences, seating, stages, grandstands, work platforms, etc., or to protect sensitive surfaces (e.g. tartan tracks in football stadiums, tennis courts, etc.).

The Remopla Heavy and Light heavy duty panels have different heights. Remopla Heavy is 4.3 cm high , while Remopla Light panels measure 2.2 cm in height.

Both products have the following external dimensions:

• Dimensions of large plate: 0.80 m x 1.20 m
• Dimensions of small plate: 0.80 m x 0.60 m

Transport information: For transport, 30 large Remopla panels and 60 small Remopla panels fit on a Euro pallet. A technical drawing can be found in our fact sheet.

Weight of the heavy duty panels

The weight of the Remopla heavy duty panels also varies:

• Weight of Remopla Heavy: large plate 34 kg, small plate 18 kg
• Weight of Remopla Light: large plate 20 kg, small plate 12.5 kg

Transport information: 50 Remopla Light panels can be shippedper Euro pallet and 100 small versions.

The closed surface of Remopla panels offers good slip resistance, and the knobbed profile of the so-called ball head panel is slip-resistant and can be walked or driven on even when wet . Furniture, mobile construction fences, grandstands and the like also find a secure hold thanks to the profile . The underside, a hemispherical or chamber profile, lies flat on even ground and offers good slip resistance.

If you need an affordable floor protection system/lawn protection system that can be laid quickly, Remoplas are the perfect panels for your event equipment. Each heavy duty panel has a circumferential fold for secure connection , two groove sides and two joint sides, which snap into place by simply laying the Remoplas on top of each other, thus forming a closed surface. This connection system ensures a secure hold and is not prone to errors.

Please note: In order to achieve stable surfaces/paths that can withstand heavy loads, the panels should always be laid on a level surface/substrate. Otherwise, the floor protection system will not lock into place completely! Good to know: It is not possible to run cables and hoses under the panels. If you need to lay cables, you can do so as usual with cable protection bridges.

If you are using Remopla floor panels to protect a sensitive surface (tartan tracks, hall floors, tennis courts, artificial ice rinks, etc.), we recommend using a foil or fleece (geotextile) as a base. Why? This prevents abrasion caused by the soft PVC material.

Would you like to use Remopla floor panels to protect your lawn? In this case, we also recommend using geotextile fleece as a base. The intermediate layer prevents any objects (cigarettes, coins, etc.) from falling through to the ground, protects the underside of the panel from dirt (soil, grass) and provides additional stability.

For barrier-free installation and to create better access options, we recommendramps, which can be ordered as accessories . When working with ramps, it is advantageous to install them at the edge first.

Practical tip: Strictly speaking, the angle of the ramps does not comply with official regulations. In practice, however, the ramps are often approved by the authorities without any problems. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, we ask you to obtain permission from the authorities.

You can order geotextile and PE foil as additional accessories for Remopla in our shop. The geotextile is laid on surfaces such as meadows and lawns as a base under the heavy duty panels to protect the green areas from rubbish and damage. We recommend the 90 my PE foil as a protective separating layer when laying on sensitive floors such as tartan tracks.

The load capacity of Remopla floor panels is enormous: Remopla Heavy offers a load capacity of 3.3 t/dm², while Remopla Light can be driven over at 2.0 t/dm².

The material, comparable to that used in our Ranger cable protection bridges, is robust and durable: recycled PVC with UV stabilisers. The use of recycled PVC gives the heavy duty panels a "used" look. The signs of wear are due to the production process and are not grounds for complaint.

Remopla floor panels guarantee high weather and UV stability. Soft PVC also has good impact and thermal insulation properties and is highly resistant to chemical influences such as oil, acid, solvents and petrol.

Material features:

PVC material expands when heated. When combining Remopla with other floor panels and floor protection systems (plywood, panels, rollaway, Portafloor, etc.), sufficient clearance should therefore be maintained at the transition to prevent the heavy duty panels from bulging (so-called "blow up"). Also good to know: At low temperatures, the material can become brittle and prone to breakage .

Remopla is the perfect space system for events. The panels can be laid indoors and outdoors at events without any concerns. Remopla is certified as normal flammable in accordance with DIN 4102 and therefore complies with fire protection class B2.

Remopla as a substructure or in combination with other floor protection and turf protection systems

If you want to create more visually appealing surfaces for heavy loads at events, for example for a helicopter landing pad or a load-bearing exhibition area, Remopla can also be used as a substrate/substructure. The substructure is then levelled by screwing it to other panels (e.g. screen printing panels). Floor coverings such as exhibition carpets or dance floors can then be laid on top. By the way: Remopla can be cut with a circular saw and can therefore be cut to shape.

Remopla can also be laid in combination with other turf protection systems and floor protection systems. To ensure that the heavy duty panels (height 4.3 or 2.2 cm) remain accessible and that no trip hazards are created, the height of other floor panels is of great importance. Is Remopla a suitable lawn protection system?

The answer is yes and no :-) It depends on how long the temporary heavy duty panels are in place and on the weather. Specifically, it depends on how wet the meadows are on which the Remopla ground protection system is to be laid.

If the lawns are too wet or it rains, the panels may become slanted and the connections unstable. Furthermore, the full load-bearing capacity of a panel is no longer guaranteed if Remopla is not laid on a level surface. On the other hand, vehicles such as trucks, semi-trailers, forklifts and the like would definitely cause ruts and damage to the lawn without any lawn protection at all.

In addition, the lawns often only lack moisture and light when Remopla heavy duty panels are used for temporary events. The lawns lose their colour but usually recover quickly. However, if the lawn protection system is left in place for several days and it is particularly hot, this can also lead to damage to the lawns. Please understand that we cannot accept any liability for damage to lawns or other ground damage.
