The Remopla Heavy duty panels Heavy are inexpensive floor panels that can withstand very high loads . The heavy duty panels made of plastic (recycled PVC) lie securely on many surfaces and can be used as terrain panels in outdoor areas or as an event floor in indoor areas. T he heavy-duty floor can also be laid for protection, for example over tartan tracks in football stadiums or indoors over a sensitive hall floor. When used as construction site panels, they enable the laying of homogeneous surfaces that can be used for events, are smooth and even. There, the panels can serve as a base for stages, tents, containers, etc., or as areas for the public areas at the event.

The heavy duty panels offer a load capacity of3.3 t / dm². When laid as a heavy duty floor, the panels can be driven on by a forklift truck, lorry or similar without any problems and can therefore also be used to set up the infrastructure of a festival, as a transport and construction road . The PVC material is resistant to oil, acids, solvents and petrol, as well as being normally flammable(fire protection class B2 certified). It also offers very good thermal insulation properties and reduces impact sound by absorbing vibrations. The panels are available in a "large" version measuring 120 x 80 x 4.3 cm and a "small" version measuring 80 x 60 x 4.3 cm (length x width x height). The cover dimensions are 116 x 76 cm and 76 x 65 cm. The heavy duty panels weigh 34 kg and 18 kg.

Thanks to the groove-joint system, setting up and dismantling the floor panels is easy and quick. The non-slip surface is provided with large flat knobs (ball head plates) and offers people, vehicles and machines a secure hold. Thanks to the chamber profile, the underside is suitable for many surfaces, also provides a secure hold and does not slip. Cleaning the construction site panels is easy and straightforward – just tap them off or steam-clean them, and they're done! Only when laying over a meadow should you place a lawn mat (e.g. foil or fleece) between them to protect the lawn and the panels.

The heavy-duty panels of the Heavy type have the following weight: large panel, 34 kg per unit; small panel, 18 kg per unit. Alternatively, you can also order the Light-duty heavy-duty panel from our range, which, at a lower height (2.2 cm), offers a possible load of 2.0 t / dm².

The signs of wear are production-related and do not constitute grounds for complaint. The use of recycled PVC has no influence on the quality of the robust floor panels.

The heavy duty panels are quick to lay

The basic requirement for proper installation of the heavy-duty flooring systems is a level surface. This is necessary to ensure a secure connection of the elements. If you are laying the industrial floor on tartan tracks, lawns or other sensitive surfaces, for example, we recommend using a PE foil or a fleece as a separating layer between the floor and the panels. This provides more stability, prevents abrasion and the underside of the heavy duty panels remains clean.

The connection between the individual panels is created by a circumferential fold. A groove-joint system enables easy assembly and quick disassembly. Furthermore, this connection system is hardly prone to errors. Each panel is equipped with two groove and two joint sides. To achieve a correct connection, the groove must be combined with the joint .

How to install heavy duty panels?

Laying the heavy duty panels is easy: Remoplas should always be laid with the joint (element below ⊔) first on the floor, and then the groove (element above ⊓) can be conveniently snapped into the joint from above. Continue with the groove-joint principle until you have reached the desired end of the heavy-duty floor or a path.

For more stability, we recommend laying the heavy duty panels in an offset pattern. The gaps created by the offset at the side edges can be levelled out with the small panels.

As an accessory for barrier-free installation, you can purchase special access ramps for the heavy duty panels. If you work with these ramps, you should also start with them when laying the panels.

, the angle of the access ramps does not comply with the provisions of the MVStättVO. However, experience has shown that the relevant authorities also accept the heavy duty panels without access ramps. To be on the safe side, you should always obtain approval from your local authorities.

: the plastic floor plates behave differently depending on the ambient temperature. High temperatures make the PVC softer, while very cold temperatures make the material harder. The material can become brittle and break at extreme temperatures. To avoid so-called "blow-ups", i.e. the plates bulging up, the heavy-duty floor should have sufficient space when being laid. This is because the terrain plates expand when temperatures rise .

Maintenance of heavy duty panels

Heavy duty panels do not require any special maintenance. If you always use an underlay (foils, fleece) on dirty ground – especially on lawns! – the undersides hardly ever need to be cleaned. After the event, both sides of the heavy duty panel can be conveniently cleaned with a steam cleaner and used for many more events.

Tip:. To protect the heavy duty panels, you should always avoid emergency braking or turning vehicles on the spot!

Heavy duty panels for events: temporary event floor, terrain panel and construction road

The Remopla Heavy duty panel Heavy is versatile. At events, the floor panels are used to temporarily pave paths and areas. If you lay just one row of heavy duty panels, the width is ideal for pedestrian paths, but it can also be driven on with forklifts or pallet trucks. The more panels, the greater the possibilities: here the heavy duty floor then serves as an extremely resilient terrain panel for trucks, forklifts, articulated lorries and the like.

As a construction site panel, it provides a very stable base for the infrastructure on the site. For example, for creating temporary parking areas, as a storage area for catering stands, containers (sanitary and office containers) as well as seating and standing room in public areas. Under certain circumstances, the heavy duty panels can also be used as a substructure for stages, grandstands and similar. However, depending on the size and weight of the structures, structural engineers should be consulted.

Can heavy duty panels be laid over grass?

The answer is yes and no. It depends on the condition of the lawn and the climatic conditions. A damp lawn is not a good surface for heavy duty panels, as the panels could partially sink into the grass, become tilted and the connecting pieces would no longer engage properly. Also, Remopla is not a lawn mat! The grass will not get any light and will have difficulty "breathing ". For this reason, heavy duty panels should not be left on a lawn for too long . An absolute no-go: expensive, heated football turf in football stadiums should never be covered with heavy duty terrain panels!

On the other hand, without protection, heavy-duty traffic on any lawn is guaranteed to cause irrevocable damage. Therefore, depending on the weather, heavy-duty panels can be laid on a meadow. Just remember that the heavy-duty panels are not a lawn protector. The damper the weather and the longer the panels are in place, the worse it is for the condition of the lawn. Unfortunately, we cannot accept liability for any damage that may occur.
