Heavy duty panels are an inexpensive accessory and offer a wide range of uses on construction sites and at events. When used as event flooring and ground panels, this heavy duty flooring can withstand loads of up to 2.0 t/dm² – no problem for trucks, forklifts or other vehicles. The Light heavy duty panels can be used to create temporary construction roads, paved paths or heavy-duty surfaces. The panels can also be used as floor coverings to protect sensitive surfaces.
The plastic heavy-duty flooring (material: recycled PVC) is suitable for indoor and outdoor use (e.g. open air) and is also extremely weather-resistant thanks to added UV stabilisers. The material also has a high chemical resistance.
These heavy duty panels are available in our shop in 2 sizes: The large heavy duty panel measures 1.20 m x 0.80 m, the small version is 0.60 m x 0.80 m. The heavy duty floor weighs 20 kg / piece or 12.5 kg / piece and is perfectly stackable on Euro pallets. We offer the following accessories for the transport plates : Remopla ramps, which measure and can be placed on the outer edges of the panels to create a barrier-free transition. Alternatively, you can also purchase heavy-duty panels with even higher load capacities in the allbuyone shop – the Heavy heavy-duty panel, for example, can withstand loads of 3.3 t/dm².

The heavy duty panels Light are inexpensive floor panels that can be driven on at events and construction sites with high loads . The plastic floor covers (recycled PVC) are non-slip on many surfaces and are suitable as terrain panels in outdoor areas or event floors in indoor areas. The panels are also laid for protection, for example as floor protection for tartan tracks or over a sensitive hall floor. If they are used as construction site panels, closed surfaces can be created that are smooth and even. At events, for example, the panels can then be used as a base for stages, tents, containers, etc., and also as temporary areas for standing areas and seating.
The heavy duty panels Light offer a load capacity of 2.0 t / dm². This means that the panels can also be used to set up infrastructure at an open-air event and can be driven on by a heavy truck, articulated lorry, forklift truck, etc. as a transport and construction road .
The plastic material is similar to that of our Ranger cable protectors – recycled PVC, which is mixed with UV stabilisers and is resistant to oil, acid, solvents and petrol as well as being normally flammable (fire protection class B2 ). Furthermore, it has very good thermal insulation properties and reduces impact sound .
The weight of the heavy duty panels is 20 kg or 12.5 kg. The panels are stackable, and 50 or 100 panels can be transported on each Euro pallet.
Small and large dimples ensure a non-slip surface that provides safety for people, vehicles and machines. A chamber profile forms the substructure of the heavy-duty panels and ensures optimal grip on a variety of different surfaces (turf, gravel, cobblestones, sand, soil). Cleaning the construction site plates is easy. Dried soil can be tapped off or removed with a steam jet. We only recommend placing a separating layer (e.g. foils or fleece) under the plates to protect them when laying on green areas or similar.
on the material: Remopla heavy duty panels are made of recycled PVC, just like our cable protectors. This results in a "used" look. The signs of wear are production-related and do not constitute grounds for complaint. The use of recycled PVC has no influence on the quality of the robust floor panels.

The prerequisite for proper installation of the tiles is a level surface. This is necessary to ensure a secure connection between the elements. If you are laying the heavy-duty floor on tartan tracks, lawns or similar sensitive surfaces, you should place a PE foil or a geotextile as a separating layer between the surface and the heavy-duty floor. This results in more stability, prevents abrasion and the event floor does not get dirty on the underside.
The panels are connected by a circumferential fold – a tongue and groove system. This connection system allows the heavy duty panels to be quickly installed and easily dismantled. Furthermore, this system is hardly prone to errors. The panels should always be laid so that the joint (element bottom ⊔ ) is on the floor first, so that the groove (element ⊓ ) can be conveniently snapped into the joint from above. This groove-joint principle is repeated until the desired length (area/path) has been laid.
To create greater stability, we recommend laying the floor covering in an offset pattern. To obtain straight edges with this installation method, a small heavy-duty panel should be installed at the end of every second row.
As an accessory for barrier-free installation, you can purchase special access ramps for the heavy duty panels. If you work with these ramps, you should also start with them when laying the floor.
The angle]of the access ramps does not exactly match the value given in the MVStättVO. According to experience reports, the responsible authorities are very accommodating and accept the floor plates even without ramps. Nevertheless, we recommend: Play it safe and get approval from the relevant authorities.
: the behaviour of the plastic heavy duty panels varies depending on the ambient temperature. Very high temperatures cause the PVC to become softer, while the material is harder at lower temperatures. Recycled plastic becomes brittle and prone to breakage at extremely low temperatures. "Blow ups" (the bulging of the plates) are avoided by providing the heavy-duty floor with sufficient space to expand when it is laid. This phenomenon can be observed at higher temperatures if the plates do not have enough room to move.
The heavy duty panels Light do not require any special maintenance. By using underlays (foils, fleece) on green areas, cleaning of the panels is almost completely unnecessary. After the event, both sides of the heavy duty floor can be easily cleaned with a steam cleaner and used for many more events.
The Remopla heavy duty panel Light is versatile. At events, the composite panels are used to create temporary paths and surfaces. If you lay just one row of heavy-duty panels, it is ideal for pedestrian paths, ants or lifting trucks. The more panels, the greater the possibilities: here, the heavy-duty floor then serves as a resilient terrain plate for trucks, forklifts, articulated lorries and the like.
The construction site panels create a very stable surface for the infrastructure on the site. This can be used, for example, to create temporary parking areas, as a space for catering stands and containers (sanitary and office containers), as well as seating and standing room in public areas. Under certain circumstances, the heavy-duty panels can also be used as a substructure for stages, grandstands and similar. For large structures, we recommend that you get the okay of a structural engineer.
visually appealing results, the heavy-duty floor can be covered with screen printing plates and a visually appealing floor covering, for example an exhibition carpet.
It is generally possible to lay heavy duty panels on green areas, but there are a few points to consider. These include the condition of the lawn and the climatic conditions.
A damp lawn is an unsuitable surface for heavy duty panels, because the panels could partially sink into the ground. If they are at an incline, the connecting pieces will no longer fit properly into each other. Heavy duty panels are not lawn mats! The grass will not get any light and will have great difficulty in "breathing" underneath. Heavy duty panels should therefore not be left on a lawn for too long. What is not possible is to use them on expensive, heated football pitches. Heavy duty panels should never be used here!
We have put together a few tips to help you ensure optimal handling, correct use and, last but not least, a safe event. Please note the following points:
In the following list, alternative products are compared with the heavy duty panel Light:
Portafloor
Portafloor is only a formwork sheet with a grass covering, which is only designed for foot traffic.
Formwork panels
are a cheaper alternative to Remopla heavy duty panels, but are not as durable and tend to warp.
Plywood
Plywood, like plywood, is made of wood. They also tend to warp and do not form a homogeneous surface, and are not as non-slip.
Panels
panels weigh a lot more than Remopla heavy duty panels, but they distribute the applied loads. Panels are often used in combination with heavy duty panels.
You can buyheavy duty panels and the appropriate accessories in our shop, . With an access ramp, we offer the option of a clean and barrier-free finish for the heavy duty panel light . If you do not use access ramps, the height offset of the edge can be highlighted with warning tape. To protect sensitive floors such as tartan tracks, we recommend using our PE foil 90 my as a separating layer. Our geotextile (155 g, grey) should be placed under green areas to avoid leaving rubber residue or rubbish in the green area. Furthermore, the use of geotextile prevents soil from being pressed into the chambers on the underside. Our warning tape is recommended for the subdivision or demarcation of heavy-duty slab areas.
For heavy traffic from tractor-trailers, etc., we offer you the heavy-duty panel Heavy as an alternative to the heavy-duty panel Light. This also consists of recycled plastic and has the same properties. The difference lies in the load capacity, the weight, the height and the surface structure.
