Nightliners ( ) are buses that are rented by concert and tour organisers, as well as companies and athletes. The artists and sometimes their crew live on the bus during the time and are transported from one venue to the next.
Since many music events do not start until late in the evening and tour events often include a concert in a different city every day, Nightliners are equipped with beds for the artists and crew so that they can sleep on the bus during the trip. The Nightliner serves as a substitute for a hotel. For larger productions, several Nightliners are usually used, for each crew and each band individually.
Nightliner coaches have various seating and sleeping options, sound systems, TV, video and DVD players, Playstation, internet access, a galley with fridges and a toilet. Technically, a Nightliner is no different from a normal coach.
