Backliner
A stage technician known as a backliner is a member of the tour staff and is responsible for the instruments, including their construction, repair (e.g. putting on new strings, tuning) and cabling, in other words, for their proper functioning.
Another of the backliner's tasks is to supervise the construction of the stage, which he usually does not carry out. This task is usually performed by local helpers.
