Fire protection class B1 refers to "difficult to ignite" building materials and products in accordance with the German fire protection standard DIN 4102-1.
DIN 4102-1 defines that, after the source of the fire has been removed, the fire in materials with fire protection class B1 must extinguish itself. The certification of individual building materials, textiles etc. may only be carried out by recognised institutes.
