The backstage area of an event is usually located behind the stage and is not accessible to the public. For the artists, it is a kind of living room. The administration has its offices in the backstage areaand the kitchen for the entire staff is also located here. Backstage areas are available at music events, but also at theatres and film productions. This area is guarded by security to ensure the safety and privacy of the artists, the administration and the staff.
The administration in the backstage area includes catering for the artists, crew and personnel, etc., the accounting of income and expenses, and the care and preparation of the artists and technicians in general.
