Paragraph 12 BGV A8 (VBG 125) regulates the application of colour markings. According to this, a permanent hazard area should be marked with black and yellow adhesive tape and a temporary hazard area with red and white adhesive tape.

General information about working with warning tape yellow black
When using warning and marking tapes, please note the following:
Adhesion of marking tape
Stick the warning tape to a dust-free surface and do not touch the adhesive surface of the marking tape with your fingers. Press the warning tape firmly after application. Floor marking tape must be pressed firmly onto asphalt in particular.
Storage of safety tape
Certain storage conditions must be observed to ensure that the warning tape retains its quality:
- The storage temperature should be approx. 20°C.
- Keep warning tape in its packaging until use
- Protect floor marking tape from direct sunlight
- Do not store marking tape for longer than 12 months
Carry out a test application!
To assess the adhesive properties of the warning tape, we always recommend testing it on an inconspicuous area first. Warning tape with strong adhesive should never be applied to natural stone or untreated wood. There is a risk of discolouration.
