Flame retardants slow down the burning behaviour of combustible materials and, thanks to the fire inhibitors they contain, make the material flame-resistant. How flame retardants work and how to use them
Fire retardants prevent fires from spreading in the event of a fire: the impregnated material chars without burning. Spray the materials to be treated with the flame retardant or immerse the object completely. Before using on large areas, we always recommend testing the material for compatibility. The materials to be impregnated should be dry and should not be dried with a hair dryer or tumble dryer. Whether theatre, concert, film or TV production – fire protection is part of every event: all materials used, such as stage sets, decorations and curtains, must comply with fire regulations.
