Cable mat made of SBR fine-grained rubber for cable protection
A cable mat made of SBR rubber (, length 5 m or 10 m) protects cables, wires and other technical accessories from damage. By covering the cables, you reduce the risk of tripping and thus increase safety at the event. Cable protection mat with or without insert: products in the shop
In our shop, you will find four different cable mats in black. Choose between the standard mat with widths of 0.50 m, 1 m and 1.2 m, a low-odour mat measuring 0.5 m x 5 m and the premium quality mat, including fabric insert, with a width of 1 m. Please note when ordering: The reinforced floor protection mat is particularly tear-resistant and durable thanks to the integrated fabric! Nevertheless, you can easily cut each fine mesh rubber mat lengthwise and use it as an accessory in event technology or event supplies for a long time!
Fine mesh rubber mat made of SBR rubber: information and details about the material
The cable mats made of SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) from our own brand GRIP Eventbasics by allbuyone are available in black. The mats offer the following technical properties:

SBR rubber mat – important information about rubber odour and temperature
Continuous use at higher temperatures and prolonged exposure to UV radiation makes the rubber mats brittle. In addition, the rubber mats are not suitable as anti-slip mats for areas where food is present.
The rubber runners have a strong inherent odour and are therefore mainly suitable for outdoor use. If the cable protection mat is to be used indoors (e.g. in an office, workshop or warehouse), please leave it to air outdoors for a few days to reduce the rubber smell.
In our shop, we also offer an SBR mat with reduced rubber odour, which is also suitable for indoor use.
Cable mat – size and weight
The 3 mm thick cable mat is available in our shop on a roll with a length of either 5 m or 10 m per piece. They are available in widths of 0.50 m, 1.2 m (without fabric insert) and 1 m (with and without fabric insert). Due to their relatively high weight of approx. 3.4 kg/m² (mat without fabric insert) or approx. 3.8 kg/m² (mat with fabric insert), the products lie flat on the ground. However, unlike cable protectors, they are not rigid, but adapt easily to any shape thanks to their durable material.
Black cable mat with different top and bottom sides
The fine mesh rubber mat in black serves as a non-slip covering with two different surface structures: The upper side has longitudinal grooves with a width of approx. 2.5 mm – the lower side has a fabric pattern or nubs, ensuring excellent adhesion to almost all floors (hard floors such as asphalt or PVC floor coverings; damp floors such as lawns and much more).
According to VBG, height differences of 4 mm or more on floors are considered trip hazards and must be eliminated, e.g. in the case of cables, with a cable protector or mat. Further information can also be found in ArbStättV / ASR A1.8 "Traffic routes".
Cable mat for outdoor use: protection & safety for cables
The cable mats ensure that cables of various types (for stages, PA systems, video, audio, etc.) are not damaged by mechanical influences and can be laid safely. In addition, the fine mesh rubber mats are used to cover cables (lighting and sound equipment) in wet conditions. Whether on stages or in other areas of the event.
Cable protection mat: Trip protection for visitors and employees
Similar to a cable protector, the floor protection mat is also ideal for preventing tripping accidents. The rubber runners are laid smoothly over the cables or other event technology accessories, significantly reducing the risk of tripping.
Ensure safety and stick the edges of the fine mesh rubber mats to the floor with adhesive tape or warning tape in bright colours!
Cable mats – an inexpensive alternative to cable protectors
Cable mats are suitable as a supplement to or instead of cable protectors at any event: They serve to protect laid cables (PA systems and other technology) and offer safety for people. Cable protection mats are cheaper and can also be cut to size as required and transported in rolls – in addition to cable protectors, rubber runners are the ideal accessory for lighting and sound technology!

Cleaning and storage
The floor protection mats can be quickly cleaned with a steam cleaner, if necessary with mild soapy water. Please always allow the rubber mat to dry completely and store it rolled up and protected from UV light!
