Spray chalk, white, 400 ml can with writing nozzle
Chalk spray is washable and therefore perfect for temporary markings at events and on construction sites.
Due to its water solubility, the chalk spray disappears practically by itself within approx. 10-15 days. The spray paint is suitable for sensitive playing field markings as well as for measuring and marking work on earth, concrete, wood and asphalt.
The white chalk spray allows clear lines to be sprayed without any colour stains or spray loss thanks to the TIC-CAP overhead nozzle. In addition, the water-soluble spray paint is environmentally friendly, the spray can is CFC-free and its ingredients are organically degradable.
The chalk spray in the 400 ml can is economical and sufficient for a total area of approx. 2 m² or floor markings of approx. 40 - 60 m.
The water-soluble chalk spray is often used for markings and measuring work in event supplies, at sporting events or on construction sites, but it also works well for unusual advertising campaigns and golf.

Range of applications for chalk spray
Spray paint – the versatile event accessory
Water-soluble chalk spray is used to apply temporary markings to event equipment and event areas, which then wash off by themselves under the influence of weather conditions. Parking spaces, access routes and (music) stages can be marked out just as easily with the spray paint as the event site itself. The chalk spray provides clarity for event workers and visitors and can be applied by hand or with a special spray stencil.
Markings for seasonal events
Like seasonal events – e.g. city and street festivals, folk festivals, flea markets or Christmas markets – chalk spray is only temporary. Retailers can use it to measure their sales stands and clearly mark important landmarks and visitor areas. A particular advantage is that there is no need to worry about cleaning up after the event.
Markings with chalk spray in stage construction...
...are quickly and flexibly applied by stage technicians using spray chalk. Markings for FOH and visitor areas with satisfactory acoustics are made with water-soluble chalk spray and can therefore be moved as required. The spray paint can even be swept off some solid surfaces with a broom; outdoors, cleaning is done by the weather.
Chalk spray at sporting events
At sporting events, markings must be flexible so that they can be easily adapted to the course of the event. This property of spray paint is particularly advantageous when marking routes, landmarks and visitor areas. The environmentally friendly spray chalk can be easily applied to lawns, soil or asphalt for this purpose.
Chalk spray as a helpful trade fair accessory
Similar to its use at seasonal events, chalk spray is also used in trade fair supplies to carry out markings and calibration work cleanly and conveniently. Trade fair stands can thus be calibrated and marked in different colours as required.
Unusual advertising campaigns succeed with spray chalk
Would you like to implement an unusual advertising idea in public places that will be noticed by many road users? Chalk spray is the inexpensive solution for this and can be easily applied in a wide variety of locations. Please make sure to choose locations that are exposed to the elements (especially rain) so that the advertising logo is guaranteed to wash off by itself! You can spray on your advertising message however you like with chalk spray – with or without letter stencils and number stencils.
Chalk spray as a golf accessory
Golfers can improve their game with temporary spray chalk. Simply spray the water-soluble chalk spray onto the club face and check after teeing off to see if the ball was hit well. There is no need to worry about environmental pollution or discolouration of the golf club.
Information on the environmental compatibility of spray paint
When sprayed correctly, chalk spray consists of pure chalk and is harmless to groundwater, soil and lawns. In addition, spray chalk is organically degradable and free of CFCs. However, chalk spray that escapes from a defective can should not be allowed to enter the groundwater, as it still contains harmful gases when not sprayed!
Instructions for handling spray chalk
With spray paint, stained fingers and dripping spray are a thing of the past! With the TIC-CAP overhead nozzle, chalk spray can be sprayed on precisely and conveniently with just one hand. One spray can is sufficient to mark a total area of approx. 2 m² or a line of approx. 40-60 m; the chalk spray also dries in only approx. 3 minutes. Letter stencils and number stencils are advantageous for more complex and professional markings or lettering.
Using chalk spray safely – safety information
To ensure safe use of the spray paint, the following safety instructions should be observed:
- Do not smoke while using
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin
- Do not allow children to use chalk spray unsupervised
- Do not inhale aerosols from the spray chalk
- The container is pressurised and should therefore not be opened by force during or after use
- Do not spray chalk spray in direct sunlight or at temperatures above 50°C
- Do not spray near flammable or glowing objects
Test application of spray paint
In principle, chalk spray can be used on almost all materials. However, the exact adhesion properties or compatibility of the spray paint with the respective material cannot be predicted in advance. For this reason, you should spray the chalk spray on an inconspicuous area of the substrate material to test it. You should also make sure that the material can be removed again within the desired time period. Caution is advised on highly absorbent, painted surfaces or substrates that are not resistant to alcohol. We generally advise against using chalk spray on car paintwork. The durability varies depending on the weather and, above all, on the surface being sprayed. On rough and porous surfaces, the chalk powder settles in depressions. In this case, cleaning with water, a broom or a high-pressure cleaner may be necessary. This is not due to the adhesion of the chalk itself, but to the difficulty of reaching the chalk spray residues in the relief of deeply structured floors.
Spray chalk legal situation
The use of spray chalk on pavements, roads and bridges, for example, constitutes special use and is subject to authorisation. Without the necessary authorisation, spraying with chalk spray is at least an administrative offence.
Storage of spray chalk
Please store the chalk spray in a dry place away from direct sunlight! The official regulations for the correct storage of pressurised gas containers (TRG 300) may also be helpful.
Correct removal of spray paint
The water-soluble chalk spray is normally washed out by the weather after approx. two weeks. When using the spray paint indoors, a broom is often sufficient to sweep away the chalk spray. Permanent marker spray, on the other hand, remains adhesive for a long time (approx. 9-12 months).
Correct disposal of chalk spray cans
Spray paint cans that are not completely empty can be handed in at the hazardous waste collection point (key number EAK No. 150104). Completely empty cans belong in the normal tin recycling.
We have compiled further information on the correct and safe use of chalk spray for you on a data sheet in the Data Sheets section.
