Holdon® clips: clip eyelets instead of traditional eyelets
Holdon clip eyelets have proven themselves as clips for attaching tarpaulins without eyelets , backdrops or fabric, molton and many other materials. Holdon Clips®: Product details
Whether for stage construction, trade fairs or events, fabrics and other materials are often fastened through eyelets using traditional elastic straps or tarpaulin bungee cords (e.g. Spannfix bungee cords). Holdon clips help to save on assembly costs and enable materials to be fastened without eyelets.

How are Holdon clips attached?
Holdon Clip – quick and easy to useThe clamping eyelets with patented fasteners offer high adhesive strength on hemmed and unhemmed materials. Each clip has a wedge fastener. The greater the load, the more grip it develops.
The clips adapt perfectly to the thickness of the material and can be easily secured by hand. The bar, which additionally prevents the material from slipping out, is designed to be extremely gentle on the material.
Instructions: How to use the Holdon Clip Midi
- Place the material to be fastened between the two open jaws of the clamp. The ratchet lock (1) should be facing you.
- You can now lock the Holdon Clip in place (towards "on") by pulling it. A cable tie, for example, can be used as a suitable aid for this, which is inserted through the eyelet to make pulling easier. The more pull is applied, the harder it is to open the clamp again.
- On the other side of the Holdon® clip there is an eyelet (2) with a diameter of 1 cm. This allows you to thread bungee cords, cable ties, hooks or an expander rope as usual and then fix them to poles or scaffolding.
- You need both hands to open the Holdon clip: press the ratchet lock (1) down and push the clamp (3) in the opposite direction (towards "off"). You can make opening easier by inserting a coin into the release edge (4).
Note on attaching the Holdon Mini ClipsThe Holdon Clip Mini is easier to use. The material simply needs to be clamped between the jaws, and a wedge-shaped plate locks itself in place by means of tensile force. To open, simply push this plate back in the opposite direction. Each system can be reused for a long time.
Order accessories at the same time
To complete the product, after mounting the clips on the fabric/banner/tarpaulin, etc., a connecting element should be pulled through the eyelet of the clips. The following are suitable for this purpose:
- Bungee cords – the classic with plastic hooks
- A bungee tie with ball closure, tilt sleeve or spiral hook
- Expander
- cable ties, ropes, etc.
- In exceptional cases, adhesive tape (if no expander rope is available)
Please note: The use of material-friendly, elastic expander ropes is preferable to rigid fastening with inflexible ropes or cable ties. Elastic tensioning rubbers are able to distribute weight and compensate for impact movements caused by wind, for example.
