The original Artist Tape Pro Console is made from flat-calendered paper (flatback paper) with a smooth, dense surface and coated with synthetic rubber adhesive. It adheres strongly (adhesion: 6.2 N/cm), yet can be repositioned and removed without residue – perfect for bonding on technical equipment or sensitive surfaces. The matte surface ensures the tape does not reflect even under strong lighting and can be easily labelled with pens or markers.
Whether for cable identification, prop marking, stage position or edge marking, or as fluorescent adhesive tape for blacklight decorations – Artist Tape can be torn by hand in both lengthwise and crosswise directions, is dimensionally stable, and features clean edges. Artist tape vs. masking tape – what's the difference?
Both terms refer to colourful paper adhesive tapes. Artist tape, a single-coloured adhesive tape, is an industrial adhesive tape and is particularly suitable for eye-catching markings at events or for professional art and decoration – so-called tape art (from the English word "art"). Masking adhesive tape, on the other hand, often already has a pattern/design on the surface. It is an adhesive tape for hobby use and is mostly used for crafting and decorating in the private sphere.
