Decorative molton is a lightweight, translucent and flame-retardant decorative fabric made of 100% cotton that weighs just 160 g. is often used for decorations, as a stage covering, ceiling and wall cladding, as well as for designing skirtings at events.

Please note: we cut decorative molton sold by the metre individually to your desired dimensions (from 5 running metres). Therefore, decorative molton sold by the metre cannot be exchanged.

The decorative molton by the metre is 300 cm wide and easy and quick to process due to its excess width. The B1 fabric is therefore very popular for trade fair stand construction, stage design and scenery construction. Thefabric by the metre measures:

Decorative molton is a flame-retardant decorative fabric

The decorative molton by the metre meets the safety standards in the event area, for public decoration and stage construction. All molton products from the allbuyone online shop are flame retardant impregnated and certified according to DIN 4102 B1. In addition, allbuyone molton meets the classification C-s1, d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1 (EN 13773). The molton fabric can be used without hesitation for stage design, as event decoration or for exhibition stand construction indoors. The corresponding certificate is available on request.

Note: Decorative Molton B1 is a natural product that is dyed. Therefore, depending on the batch, there may be minimal colour deviations when ordering large quantities of decorative molton.

Decorative molton for events, trade fairs and stage decorations

The lightweight 160 g/m² decorative molton is ideal for setting up decorations and designing stages, as well as for flame-retardant event and trade fair decorations. The 300 cm excess width of the material by the metre makes it possible to save time when processing long lengths. At the same time, the decorative molleton fabric is more cost-effective than other decorative fabrics with a DIN 4102 B1 certificate.

Decorative molton is often used to make fabric ceilings for ceiling or wall cladding, as well as for a wide range of fabric coverings. Skirtings for furniture or stage elements can also be stylishly designed using decorative molton fabric.

Decorative Molton as a background in a photo studio

Decorative molton B1 is a double-sided roughened molton fabric that also serves as a matte photo background fabric, usually in black. However, when using it as a background fabric, it should be noted that, unlike stage molton, decorative molton is not completely opaque, which can be an effective advantage when it comes to lighting, but it can also be a disadvantage! In advertising and portrait photography, this effect is used to good effect. Used as a photographic studio accessory, decorative molton (usually white) is placed in front of light sources or flashes to achieve even lighting, as decorative molton evenly refracts light on its surface.

It is very easy to care for decorative molton by the metre. However, in order not to endanger the fire protection impregnation of the molton fabrics, a few important points should be observed. These can be found in the information sheet in the data sheets section.

Reimpregnating Molton

If the fire protection impregnation of your decorative molton for theatre and stages is no longer effective, you can re-equip molton with flame retardants using the flame retardants Bioretard. The DIN 4102 corresponds to the material, however, only with the professional application of the impregnation agent!
