Tips for the optimal use of Velcro tapes

Due to their high quality, the tapes can still be used reliably even after being closed and opened several times. Please note the following tips when using them:

• The surfaces should be absolutely clean for reliable adhesion of the hook and loop tape, i.e. free of any moisture, dust, oils or grease.
• The tapes should not be used on surfaces that contain high levels of plasticisers (especially oligomers), as the adhesive on the back of the hook and loop tapes could leak out for chemical reasons.
• The hook and loop tape material is resistant to diluted acids and alkaline chemicals.
• When fastening or connecting the two components, loop tape and hook tape, you need strong pressure to ensure that the Velcro fastener holds securely and firmly.

Self-adhesive velcro tapes – how to remove them

It is best not to remove hook and loop tapes, hook and loop dots, etc. too quickly, but slowly and carefully. If any adhesive residue remains firmly adhering to the surface, it can be easily removed with acetone, paraffin wax or cleaning solvent.
