Which adhesive tape, apart from cloth tape, is an absolute must in production? Insulating tape, of course. The VDE 0340 (DIN EN 60454-3-1/Type 2) - tested Isoband has high dielectric strength, insulates reliably and offers electrical protection in a range of at least 8 kV. The tape is also flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. The Isoband with a matt surface can be used in a variety of ways, for bundling cables or for colour coding individual wires and cables, as well as for quickly insulating or repairing brittle cable sheaths. The adhesive tape made of soft PVC is highly elastic (extendable up to 180%), flexible and very adaptable to different shapes, it has good abrasion resistance and is UV-stable and waterproof. The pressure-sensitive adhesive offers high immediate adhesion and good adhesion ( adhesive strength on steel 2.4 N/cm) and can be removed without leaving any residue.

Isoband for electrical engineering applications
The VDE-certified insulating tape is a high-quality PVC tape and is mainly used for labelling and attaching and bundling cables. Isoband is UV-resistant and waterproof. It is flame retardant and self-extinguishing and impresses with its high abrasion resistance. The adhesive tape complies with the insulating tape standard EN 60454-3-1 / Type 2 ("Self-adhesive tapes for electrical applications", VDE 0340-3-1;2002-03).

Application of PVC insulating tapes
For safe use in event applications, the AT7 insulating tape is flame retardant and self-extinguishing. It is extremely stretchable (180%), tear-resistant and very adaptable. The high-quality adhesive (non-corrosive, pressure-sensitive) allows for multiple bonding for tape correction and bonding on sensitive surfaces. The Isoband can be removed from cables, wires or sensitive technology without leaving any residue. The very high dielectric strength of 8000 volts offers a high level of safety for electrical applications.
Important general information on the use of insulating tape : Only use approved heat-shrink tubing toproperly insulate live cables!
Insulating tapes]are generally not suitable for insulating bare cables – no matter which isoband you buy.
