The AT 7 insulating tape set is a quality product from the manufacturer Advance Tapes – a PVC tape suitable for (electrical) technical applications. The PVC Isotape has a matt, smooth surface, is particularly adaptable to different shapes and can be stretched up to 180% – perfect for wrapping cables and wires. The tape is particularly abrasion-resistant and weather- and UV-resistant and is waterproof when bonded. In addition, the isoband has high initial adhesion and medium final adhesion (adhesive strength on steel 2.4 N/cm).

Compared to other insulating tapes, this Isotape offers particularly high dielectric strength up to 8000 volts. The Iso Tape is extremely stretchable and tear-resistant and offers very good conformability. The non-corrosive, pressure-sensitive adhesive allows gentle bonding to sensitive surfaces. The application temperature of these insulating tapes is 0°C to +40°C. The optimum room temperature for storage rooms is +12°C to +25°C with relative humidity.
What many customers do not know: There are many different insulating tapes on the market. Regardless of which insulating tape you buy, PVC insulating tape should only be used as a repair tape in emergencies or temporarily. These adhesive tapes do not offer the necessary strength and stability for the permanent insulation of bare wires and cables, unlike cable sheathing designed for electrical applications. The mechanical strength of PVC adhesive tape is insufficient for insulating higher voltages. For safe repairs, a heat-shrinkable tube should therefore always be used instead of insulating tape.
