Applying and removing Gaffa tape
Before you use the adhesive tape, it is important that the surface on which you want to apply the tape is also clean and thus suitable for gluing. Therefore, remove any dirt and make sure that the surface is also dry.
Then slowly pull the gaffer tape off the roll and press it firmly onto the surface. Please make sure that you do not touch the adhesive surface with your hand. For optimal use, we recommend a temperature of approx. +12°C to +22°C for this gaffa tape.
As a general rule, when removing adhesive tape, always do so slowly and not jerkily. A flat angle of about 45° is optimal in many cases. In the event that the adhesive has left residue, it can be heated with a hair dryer and then more easily removed. This assumes that the material on which the gaffa tape was located is heat resistant. On an insensitive surface, white spirit, orange oil cleaner or a Tesa adhesive remover can also be used.
How to store cloth tape properly
It is best to store the adhesive cloth tape in its original packaging to protect the tape from dust and other dirt. A temperature of around 20°C and a comfortable relative humidity are ideal. Do not expose the adhesive tape to direct UV radiation and ideally do not store it for much longer than 12 months.
