B1 flame retardant, UV-stable or VdS-certified
Important at every event: fire protection. To ensure that your materials meet safety requirements, you can order flame-retardant mesh certified to B1 in accordance with DIN 4102 from the allbuyone online shop. Both HDPE mesh and vinyl mesh, PVC and HDPE tarpaulins are available in B1 versions.
Mesh is also available in a UV-stabilised version (, 5-10 years, depending on the version).
Please note: the properties B1 flame retardant and UV stabilised are mutually exclusive, i.e. a material can only have one of these two properties.
Sprinklermesh, which is mainly used in trade fair construction, has the VdS certificate for sprinkler suitability in addition to the B1 certificate.
What is mesh? – Definition
Mesh is used in many ways in the event industry. Whether as stage covering, privacy screen on construction fences or as wind protection, mesh is a must-have at any event. But what exactly is mesh?
Mesh is a dimensionally stable, highly tear-resistant mesh made of polyethylene HD (HDPE), which is mainly used for privacy and wind protection, e.g. on fences or scaffolding. The advantage of PE wind and privacy protection nets lies clearly in their high durability. Mesh is a weather-resistant, rot-proof and UV-stable material, and it is water-repellent. Privacy protection nets made of mesh are resistant to many chemicals and can be used safely in a temperature range from -30°C to +90°C.
Privacy screens for events in various designs
Privacy protection is an important issue at events. Many square metres of privacy protection are installed at festivals, concerts and other events to enclose an area or protect backstage areas from prying eyes and maintain the privacy of artists, for example. The privacy protection elements used for this purpose consist either of permeable mesh or dense tarpaulins.
View protection net or view protection tarp – which is right for you?
When choosing the right privacy screen, the first question is what material to use. Depending on your requirements, you can order view protection tarps made of dense HDPE and PVC tarpaulin, view protection elements made of nonwoven fabric or permeable view protection nets made of mesh and polymesh from the allbuyone shop. The main difference: a tarpaulin is completely opaque and windproof. The nets are wind-permeable, depending on the grammage, by 16% to 27%, and therefore not completely opaque. Fleece is opaque and slightly wind-permeable.
By the way: the waterproof, unprinted HDPE tarpaulins have proven themselves not only as privacy screens, but also as cover tarpaulins. The dense tarpaulins reliably protect equipment, seating and much more from dirt, moisture and rain. The permeable view protection nets are also used as wind protection nets.

Large privacy screens can be found at festivals, events and construction sites, stretching for metres. Why not use them as advertising space? Privacy fences are perfect for advertising. In the allbuyone shop, you can have privacy nets and tarpaulins printed with your advertising, company logo, important visitor information or sponsor logo – this way, the fence screen pays for itself.
Our experience has shown that printed mesh does not always deliver a high-quality result. To print wind-permeable view protection nets, we therefore prefer to use a different vinyl mesh (e.g. print-optimised net vinyl). The grammage of 260 - 300 g/m² delivers good printing results and still offers sufficient wind protection. By the way: we usually print privacy tarpaulins on a 300 g/m² PVC tarpaulin.

- Privacy protection in construction fence format: For construction fences, you can buy a fence screen made to measure in 3.41 x 1.76 m (for one fence element). Or a privacy protection element for several fences with a width of up to 10.05 m.

Mesh and other mesh fabrics for stage and exhibition construction
In addition to its use as a net for wind protection and privacy screens, mesh is also used as a technical fabric in stage and exhibition construction.
Soundmesh for stage construction
For stage construction, you can order mesh that is particularly sound-permeable. The mesh serves as a coarse wind and privacy screen as well as a covering for FOH and stages, but allows sound to pass through the meshes unaltered.
The corresponding certificate for the sound permeability of the soundmesh is available on request.
Stagenet for stage and grandstand cladding
Many square metres of mesh are used to cover stages and grandstands at festivals and other events. With stage mesh, you can choose between nets in different grammages and colours: from almost opaque to very coarse-meshed and permeable. Stage mesh – also made of HDPE mesh – is weather-resistant and water-repellent. Stage mesh is available in a choice of UV-stable or B1 flame-retardant versions in accordance with DIN 4102, each in a range of colours.
Thanks to our many years of cooperation with event organisers, we know that stage gauze often requires special customisation. We would be happy to advise you personally! Standard formats, simply hemmed, eyeleted or with a hollow seam can be customised in just a few steps using the gauze configurator.
Sprinklermesh for exhibition stand construction
Sprinkler fabric for your exhibition stand is available in two different materials. Trevira CS and mesh (HDPE). The sprinkler net made of Trevira CS is VDS-tested, a property that is mandatory at many trade fairs. Sprinkler fabric made of mesh is not VDS-tested. Both materials are B1 flame retardant according to DIN 4102.

How to attach privacy screens? Accessories for attaching nets and tarpaulins
Installation depends on how the product is made: Mesh sold by the metre and in rolls can also be easily attached without being made to measure – using cable ties. These are simply threaded through the mesh and attached to the fence or similar.
When ordering, you can choose between eyelets and hemstitching. Cable ties or bungee cords are also suitable accessories for attaching privacy screens with eyelets. Privacy screens with hemstitching are attached using poles.
