We print these PVC banners and other products quickly and at low prices in our print shop, with customised motifs, in the right format and with finishing tailored to the application – in just a few steps, your printed PVC banner is ready to order:

Give each finished PVC banner a name (optional) – this name will appear on all documents and you will always have an overview.
Specify the width and height.
Select the finishing for the top, bottom and side edges – there are various options to choose from here.
Save the product.
Add each finished product to your shopping basket and complete your purchase or add further products.
After successful purchase, you will receive an order confirmation for your PVC banners and a link to our data sheet, which contains important information regarding the creation and transmission of your print data.

Printing: Quality and colour of 450 g frontlit tarpaulins

The inexpensive PVC banner can be printed in almost the same high quality as the quality tarpaulins in B1 design. The normal flammability 450g frontlit banners have a closed surface. We print individually, with motifs or lettering in 4c digital print in photo-realistic quality. The PVC banners shine with intense colours in brilliant hues. The PVC banner can be printed on one side – banners with 2-sided printing can also be ordered in the shop (opaque banners).

We print frontlit banners seamlessly up to a width of 3.1 m. Larger banners are welded together on the reverse side using high-frequency welding.

A word about quality: Laminated PVC tarpaulins vs. cast PVC tarpaulins

Dear customers, this material (frontlit PVC 450 g/m² without fire protection) is an extremely inexpensive PVC banner, which cannot be compared to our high-quality, durable PVC tarpaulins with 500 g/m² in B1 flame-retardant quality! The 500 g tarpaulins are very high quality, the material is supplied in cast quality, is extremely tear-resistant and weatherproof, and is UV-stable for up to 3 years. Printing is also carried out on these smooth tarpaulins using state-of-the-art 6c digital printing technology in premium quality.

A laminated quality differs enormously in terms of durability from the cast quality tarpaulin described above. A laminate can come loose under heavy use, and the tarpaulin itself can tear under heavy loads. The 450 g/m² banners are designed exclusively for short-term use in a location protected from wind, storm and UV radiation. Our customers choose the 450g tarpaulins when the durability of the tarpaulin material and the longevity of the prints are of secondary importance.

PVC banners cut with straight edges

Here, the material is simply cut with a straight edge. This finish is ideal if you want to staple the banner or attach it with Holdon clips.

Frontlit PVC cut and with eyelets (metal eyelets) all around at intervals of 50 cm

With this design, the frontlit banner is cut to the desired size (straight cut edges) and additionally eyeleted on the selected side. The metal eyelets with an inner diameter of 12 mm are spaced 50 cm apart.

PVC tarpaulin hemmed

The frontlit tarpaulin is simply folded over and welded on the back. This makes the hem more stable and tear-resistant. The simple hem is ideal if you want to staple the banner to wood or screw it down with washers.

Frontlit PVC tarpaulin hemmed and eyeleted (eyelets only in the corners)

Here, the inexpensive PVC banner is also hemmed (simply folded over and welded on the back) and then eyeleted in the corners. Here too, we use metal eyelets with an inner diameter of approx. 12 mm. The hem reinforces the edges of the tarpaulins and protects the eyelets from tearing out.

As an alternative to eyelets in the corners, the frontlit banner can also be eyeleted every 50 cm: with the "hemmed and eyeleted every 50 cm" finish, the banner material is hemmed (simply folded over and welded on the back) and eyeleted with metal eyelets spaced 50 cm apart (inner diameter of eyelets: 12 mm).

PVC banner with hemstitching – 4 cm, 8 cm or 10 cm wide (laid flat)

For fastening with poles, wooden slats or ropes, we recommend finishing with a hemstitch. There are three different sizes of hemstitch to choose from, suitable for poles with a diameter of up to 5 mm:

4 cm wide (flat) – suitable for thin wooden and metal poles with a diameter of up to 2 cm
8 cm wide (flat) – suitable for poles with a diameter of up to 4 cm
10 cm wide (flat) – for pipes (ø 50 mm), Layher rods (ø 48.3 mm) and standard roof battens (max. 3 x 6 cm)

We reserve the right to print the base material of the 450 g tarpaulins from other manufacturers, which is why some specifications (e.g. maximum tensile strength, tear resistance) may vary.

The 450 g frontlit banners are inexpensive banners made of a PVC-laminated fabric layer in normal flammability quality for short-term use. The laminate may come off under heavy use. As a high-quality alternative to, we recommend our B1-certified frontlit banner material with 500 g/m² ina cast quality.

Note: The information on weather and UV resistance has been determined in studies under Central European conditions. Use in regions with different climatic conditions (high humidity, strong UV radiation), such as in southern European countries, tropical areas and desert regions, as well as in areas with high air pollution or at high altitudes, will cause a faster ageing process.

Note on PVC banners: Take care with wind loads outdoors!

When you purchase PVC banners, you receive a printed material with a closed surface (tarpaulin). Tarpaulins are generally not windproof. For safety reasons, we generally advise against attaching large banners to exposed, windy areas and outdoors during storms . This is because every tarpaulin is like a sail in the wind – there is a risk that the eyelets will tear under the pressure and your advertising will literally fly away. Are you looking for an outdoor banner or scaffolding banner that is also suitable for large formats for windy areas or lofty heights? In this case, we generally recommend using a wind-permeable meshbanner, e .g. a mesh vinyl banner.

Frontlit has many names. It is also known as...

Frontlit is the most commonly used term for this material. However, depending on the region and industry, it is also referred to as PVC tarpaulin, tarpaulin or PVC banner. Sometimes the material with a weight of 500 g/m² is also referred to as truck tarpaulin. This is not correct, as classic truck tarpaulin has a minimum weight of 900 g/m².

Note on delivery and storage

We deliver frontlit banners on rolls as standard, which enables crease-free and space-saving shipping. They are always rolled on the short side, so the length of the short side determines the roll length for shipping.

Frontlit is delivered folded from 6 m.

For storage, we recommend that you also roll your frontlit banners and store them flat. This provides the best possible protection against creases and folds. If the prints are on the inside, they are best protected against scratches (white breakage). Make sure that the banner is completely dry, otherwise mould may form.

What alternatives are there to Frontlit 450 gsm?

We have various frontlit options in our range. The 450 g banner without B1 certification is an inexpensive banner for short-term use. Alternatively, we offer many other B1-certified frontlit banners, some of which are available on request, such as the high-quality 500 g/m² B1 banner.

Please note: In unfavourable lighting conditions, poles or truss struts on the reverse side may be visible through both the 450 g banner and the 500 g banner. As a frontlit banner with absolute light and opacity, we recommend an opaque banner with an integrated separating layer, available with 1-sided and 2-sided printing. Or truck tarpaulins from at least 650 g.

Does your banner need to be wind-permeable? Then we generally recommend a mesh banner. A wind-permeable mesh fabric that also delivers a good print image, but is ideal for windy locations!
