The flame-retardant dance floor is extremely durable, featuring a smooth, matte, non-reflective surface that provides optimal conditions for dance as well as stage lighting. Whether for shows, theatre, or other performing arts – this dance carpet, designed for temporary installation, is equally suitable for touring applications.
The hard-wearing stage floor has a lightly embossed surface, demonstrates excellent abrasion resistance, and serves as a high-quality flooring solution for various dance styles as well as rolling scenery and equipment. Its high weight and reinforcing mineral non-woven inlay ensure a smooth, dimensionally stable installation. A fine foam backing layer on the reverse side offers slight cushioning properties.
The individual strips are laid edge-to-edge and can be bonded using transparent or colour-matched adhesive tapes without creating bulges or edge waves. Please note: The stage floor is a high-quality, flame-retardant flooring solution designed for temporary installation on event stages. This floor can be installed multiple times and offers high durability. However, dance carpets are not developed for permanent or long-term use in dance studios. When installed as a dance floor, high point loads, sharp objects, or hard materials may damage the surface. As a stage dance floor, it should therefore not be used for tap dance or similar styles involving metal-tipped or reinforced shoes. Similarly, rubber soles may leave unsightly marks on the floor, as with other floor coverings. Moisture can make the floor surface slippery. Equipment and scenery should always be transported on castors.

Installing the Stage Floor
Laying a mobile dance floor is simple: unroll, install edge-to-edge, and bond the side edges. Suitable PVC adhesive tapes in white, black, or transparent are highly elastic and conformable. Additionally, PVC adhesive tapes offer good abrasion resistance, are ultra-matte, and waterproof once applied. Have you chosen a coloured stage floor? The individually matched Gaffa Tape GT 571 can also be used as an alternative. Temporary installation is also possible using double-sided tape.
The PVC dance floor often has a strong inherent odour. For installation, especially in small spaces, we recommend adequate ventilation before the event begins.

Delivery & Transport of Dance Carpets
Please check the condition of the stage floor upon delivery. The product is heavy and has sensitive edges. Rolls should never be tipped over loading edges or placed at an angle on their edges. Only sign the delivery note if the products are delivered undamaged – transport insurance only covers damages if they are documented upon receipt.
Transport individual rolls upright using a sack trolley. For horizontal transport, use two people or a forklift with a spindle. Claims due to incorrect transport or improper storage will not be accepted.
Storage & Cleaning of the Dance Floor
Regularly clean the stage floor using a mop and a pH-neutral cleaning agent. To prevent stubborn stains, immediately rub the affected area with a soft coconut brush. Scratches on the floor can be removed with small amounts of cleaning petrol. Use water to remove spilled chemicals from the floor covering. Consider using suitable mats to prevent dust accumulation on the floors.
For reuse, the stage floor can be easily rolled up. Avoid damage and creases by neatly rolling the floor back onto the core and storing it horizontally on a shelf. The optimal storage temperature for the stage floor is between 15 °C and 35 °C. Store the stage floor dry, protected from heat, UV radiation, moisture, steam, and solvents, individually on the roll.
