The VDE-tested PVC tape insulates reliably and, with its dielectric strength, offers electrical protection in a range of at least 5 kV. The soft PVC foil has a matt surface and, together with the rubber-based adhesive, is 0.13 mm thick. The tape is very adaptable and elastic, and has medium adhesive strength (1.76 N/cm on steel).
