Installation of the Defender Ultra L cable protector

The Defender Ultra L is installed using the integrated, secure tongue and groove locking system. Place a cable protector on the ground and insert the next element with the female part from above onto the connecting pins of the previously positioned cable protector. Repeat this process until the desired length is reached.

Installation is easy and connects the elements vertically. This prevents the individual cable protectors from separating due to lateral forces. Any number of Defender Ultra L elements can be connected together.

To lay cables or hoses in the cable ducts, first fold up the flexible cover at the recess. The cover remains in this position by itself. The ducts are now exposed and the cables can be laid in them in an orderly manner. Once the cables have been laid throughout, the cover can be closed and pressed down firmly.

Please always ensure that the overrun protection forms a closed line and that the elements are joined together flush. When laying the cable protector, ensure that the surface is firm and level. This is the only way to guarantee full load capacity. The yellow cover must snap firmly into the base. If this is not the case, the trip protection can easily become a trip hazard.

You cannot use the Defender Ultra L cable protector to bridge shafts, trenches or other depressions. In addition, you should not support crossbars, platforms, scaffolding or similar structures on the cable protector.

The Defender Ultra L cable protector is designed for cables and lines in the low-voltage range (up to 500 V, such as communication, control lines, power supply). The cable protector protects against voltage transfers. Please do not route rigid gas lines through this cable protector. These cable protectors are not designed for this purpose.

Extreme temperatures can cause changes to the material. TPU becomes softer in intense heat and harder at low temperatures, which leads to a loss of elasticity.

Notes on cleaning and storage

Like all other Defender cable protectors, the Defender Ultra L cable protector is equipped with a patented, self-cleaning hinge. This intelligent system removes accumulated, dried dirt when the cover is opened and closed. In case of heavy soiling, the cable protector can also be cleaned with a steam jet. The cable protector should be stored in a horizontal position. Please remove any excess lubricant after cleaning.
