The anti-slip adhesive tape from our own brand GRIP Eventbasics is a high-quality, self-adhesive anti-slip adhesive tape. Like all our anti-slip adhesive tapes, it has an anti-slip, grained surface made of aluminium oxide/silicon carbide abrasive grains. This adhesive tape also has another special feature: it is phosphorescent. Unlike adhesive tape that is fluorescent (glows when exposed to light), this GT anti-slip tape glows for at least 5 hours after exposure to light. It charges itself in daylight or artificial light and glows independently. This high-quality anti-slip coating not only reduces the risk of slipping on stairs, edges, etc., but also increases safety in the dark as a luminous warning marking.
The anti-slip strip is coated with an acrylate adhesive, which has a very high adhesive strength (adhesive strength on steel 9.8 N/cm) and offers excellent adhesion on smooth surfaces. The tape is suitable for permanent bonding, both indoors and outdoors. The anti-slip adhesive tape is malleable and adaptable, and can be easily torn by hand (lengthwise and crosswise).

Self-adhesive anti-slip adhesive tape - duct tape glow

Self-adhesive anti-slip strips such as GT Anti-Slip Phosphorescent are ideal for dark stage and backstage areas and wherever stair steps, ladder rungs, ramps and similar surfaces need to be marked not only to prevent slipping but also to be clearly visible. The mineral granules make the anti-slip adhesive tape non-slip. Unlike fluorescent adhesive tape, phosphorescent tape glows automatically after exposure to light (for at least 5 hours). Anti-slip adhesive tapes – versatile applications
'santi-slip strips are used in various areas to provide better slip resistance on smooth, wet surfaces. Stairs, ladder rungs, wet areas in sanitary facilities, (loading) ramps, stage entrances and exits and other slippery areas etc. are made slip-resistant and therefore safer with anti-slip adhesive tape. DIY enthusiasts also use the tape in workshops and around the home, for example to make steps visible at night. The surface grain of the anti-slip adhesive tapes provides optimum slip resistance. Depending on the colour, the anti-slip coating can also be used as a warning marking, thus offering double safety.
The GT anti-slip phosphorescent tape glows after being illuminated by a light source – ideal for dark areas. The tape is also available in black and yellow stripes, which is also ideal for warning markings. In the other two colours – black and transparent – the anti-slip coatings are particularly inconspicuous and highly efficient.
Important note: The anti-slip tape provides slip protection on many smooth, steep surfaces, even on oily, damp surfaces. However, the surface must be free of grease, clean and dry before application. The tape is not suitable for coarse, uneven surfaces.
Applying anti-slip adhesive tape correctly
The anti-slip adhesive tape is easy to use:

The surface must be free of dust, grease and dry before the anti-slip coating is applied.

Remove the protective paper and stick the anti-slip tape in place. Do not touch the adhesive surfaces with your hands. When applying anti-slip adhesive tapes to stairs or other edges, a distance of approx. 15 mm from the front edge should be maintained. The adhesive tape is malleable and adaptable, but should not be bent.

After application, press the anti-slip coating firmly with a rubber mallet or hand roller so that the tape adheres securely.
Please note: The anti-slip adhesive tape is highly malleable. If you bend it, please check the surface for cracks. Damaged adhesive tape can cause the granulate to wear off more quickly, thereby reducing the anti-slip effect prematurely.
The anti-slip coating is easy to roll out and has a paper liner that must be removed before application. It can be torn by hand easily and with clean edges, both lengthwise and crosswise.
Take care when applying anti-slip adhesive tape to natural wood, concrete and natural stone. The strong adhesive acrylate glue could discolour or damage the substrate. You should prepare the substrate with a suitable primer before applying the adhesive.
