The black anti-slip tape is a top-quality adhesive tape. The grained, completely non-slip surface has a highly abrasion-resistant aluminium oxide coating. The anti-slip adhesive tape adapts perfectly to edges and offers excellent adhesion on smooth surfaces. The anti-slip tape reduces the risk of slipping over long periods of time, even on heavily used surfaces.

The anti-slip strip can be applied indoors and outdoors, is waterproof and UV-resistant, and resistant to oils, alkalis, petrol and many acids. The acrylic adhesive with very high adhesive strength (adhesive strength on steel 9.8 N/cm) adheres well to dry surfaces and even when damp. Despite the anti-slip coating, the anti-slip covering is only approx. 1 mm thick and therefore does not pose a tripping hazard.

The anti-slip tape withstands heavy foot and vehicle traffic over long periods of time. The robust PVC safety tape provides reliable slip resistance on smooth floors, stair treads, loading ramps, slippery and damp edges, ladders and other hazardous areas.

Anti-slip strips – areas of application

The highly abrasion-resistant anti-slip tape is suitable for use in many areas and has a permanent hold on many surfaces. The safety tape is used as a non-slip floor covering (self-adhesive!) or anti-slip strip on smooth surfaces of machines, vehicles or other slippery hazardous areas. In event supplies, the anti-slip granulated adhesive tape in black is mostly used as inconspicuous safety walk or anti-slip adhesive tape on/for:

• loading ramps and loading docks
• Smooth stages, stage entrances
• Damp surfaces in mobile sanitary areas
• Stair edges, ladder rungs and damp treads around production facilities
• Sloping and steep ascents and descents
• Scaffolding, vehicle treads and walkways
• Performance venues: edges and stairways in backstage areas and audience areas

Tips for applying the anti-slip adhesive tapes

1. Before applying the safety adhesive tape, the surface must be free of dust, grease and dry.

2. Remove the backing paper and stick the anti-slip tape to the surface. Do not touch the adhesive surfaces with your hands.

3. When applying anti-slip adhesive tapes to stairs or other edges, you should maintain a distance of approx. 15 mm from the front edge. This will prevent kinks and damage to the safety adhesive tape itself.

4. After application, press the tape firmly with a rubber mallet or hand roller.

Please note: The anti-slip coating is highly malleable. If you bend it, please check the surface for cracks. The granulate could wear off damaged tapes, thereby reducing the slip resistance.

The tape is easy to unroll and has a protective paper cover that must be removed before application. The anti-slip tape can be easily torn by hand, both lengthwise and crosswise.

Take care when applying anti-slip adhesive tape to natural wood, concrete and natural stone. The strong adhesive acrylate glue could discolour or damage the surface material. You should prepare the surface with a suitable primer before applying the safety adhesive tape.
