color="green"The tiles have a net weight of 930 g per tile and can be laid as a self-adhesive floor covering. In living spaces , the tiles do not necessarily have to be glued . Please note: What is possible in living spaces does not always apply to laying at trade fairs and events! These carpet tiles are of good quality for beginners, but in rooms that are subject to heavy use, for example, with a lot of public traffic or with a lot of transport and construction work, we still recommend that you glue the carpet tiles. To do this, fix at least the edge tiles and the tiles in areas with heavy traffic. This way, you avoid the risk of the tiles slipping due to heavy use.
One of the characteristics of high-quality carpet tiles is their precise fit. The 50x50 looped carpet tile is punched (not cut!) by the manufacturer. The advantage of punching is that the tiles fit together seamlessly without gaps and without any signs of cutting. By the way: a printed arrow on the back of each tile makes laying the carpet tiles easier and helps you to create a simple pattern.

Compared to needle felt carpet tiles, loop pile carpet tiles have particularly soft fibres. Despite their light quality, these carpets are very comfortable to walk on. Loop pile carpets are robust and hard-wearing, and are also easy to maintain. If the carpet is used in private areas, the manufacturer offers a 10-year wear and stain warranty!
At trade fairs and public events, as well as in living rooms, bedrooms and children's rooms, the use of carpet tiles can significantly improve room acoustics by absorbing noise. The heavy weight of the carpets and the surface structure (loop pile) offer significant advantages over smooth floor coverings. As a rule of thumb, carpets and furniture "absorb sound" – a room furnished with furniture and carpeting provides better sound insulation than empty rooms with many smooth surfaces that allow the echo to ricochet and move back and forth like a ping-pong ball.
carpet tiles, the reverberation of sounds (e.g. ambient noise, music) is reduced and the impact sound is improved. Depending on the carpet, between 12 and 24 dB. That is why carpet tiles are glued to the wall in some rooms. Just make sure that the fire protection class is awarded for carpets used as floor covering. If you plan to glue the tiles to the wall and not lay them on the floor, you should clarify this with the relevant authorities in terms of fire protection.
The carpet tiles are CE certified according to the standard for resilient textile and laminate floor coverings (EN 14041). The French VOC label rates the loop pile carpet tiles as A+, which indicates that only a very low concentration of solvents has been detected. The floor covering is also emission-tested according to DIBT principles.
When moving or at the end of an event, simply collect the carpet tiles, store them in the handy box, take them with you, done! For proper storage, we recommend that you store the carpet tiles in their boxes, lying flat and in a dry place. To keep the colours fresh for a long time, please protect the tiles from UV radiation. Pallets loaded with carpet tiles should not be stacked, as this can damage the tiles.
The polypropylene carpet tiles impress with their soft surface and excellent wear properties. The fibres of the carpets cannot absorb moisture, which prevents liquids from penetrating the floor covering. Nevertheless, to prevent discolouration, you should remove liquids and other dirt immediately. It is best to use clear water for this and not to apply cleaning agents directly to the stains.
You can use standard commercial textile cleaning agents or bleaching agents for removal. Don't worry: the floor covering is an easy-care, durable loop pile carpet that is also safe to use with bleach. With proper use and care, the manufacturer offers a 10-year stain and wear warranty for private use.
However, prevention is better than cure. It is best to remove dirt from the floor regularly with a vacuum cleaner and at least every two years with a professional cleaning agent.
on wet carpet tiles: Never lay carpet tiles when they arewet and never use artificial heat sources to dry them! This could damage the tiles and significantly reduce their longevity.
The tiles can be used as often as you like. For this reason, self-lying carpet tiles are in great demand for events and trade fairs. Carpet tiles also offer flexible design options and an inexpensive solution in terms of dirt. Colours can be easily added. Stains on carpet tiles can be easily removed by replacing individual tiles, so you don't have to throw away entire rolls of carpet.
What are self-lying carpet tiles anyway? And what should be considered when ordering them? As the namesuggests , carpet tiles are, in contrast to carpet rolls, particularly small and easy to lay. In some rooms, self-lying carpet tiles can be laid without gluing .
But for carpet tiles to really be self- lying and to remain so under load (foot and vehicle traffic, etc.), the weight of a carpet tile is an essential factor. Carpet tiles are available in different grammages – the heavier the tile, the better. Only heavy carpet tiles can be laid as self-lying carpet tiles, eliminating the need for fixing with carpet adhesive or adhesive tape, and they do not slip under load.
The tile's own weight is made up of the pile weight (wear layer/surface) and a back coating (e.g. bitumen heavy coating). This means that customers can order both light and heavy-quality carpet tiles. I f you want to avoid gluing completely, you should buy carpet tiles that are heavy and also have an anti-slip backing.
The carpet tiles loop pile has a dead weight of approx. 930 g. For comparison: the trade offers carpet tiles weighing between 250 and 3500 grams.
It is best to start laying the carpet tiles in the middle of the room and then work left and right up to the wall. This is the only way to ensure that the border tiles are the same size and that the laid pattern is not crooked across the room.
Please note the following when using on sports hall floors and linoleum floors:. The black bitumen backing can cause the edges of the carpet tiles to rub off on sensitive, light-coloured floors, leaving streaks. This applies in particular to sports hall floors and linoleum floors.
After you have received the carpet tiles, you should store the tiles in a dry place until they are installed. Before installation, it is important to remove the carpet tiles from their packaging and to acclimatise them for at least 24 hours at 10 - 25 °C. The typical inherent odour of the tiles will also dissipate more quickly and will be gone within a few days.
50 x 50 cm carpet tiles can be quickly laid without any help! Rooms with a smooth, clean, dry and even floor (substrate) can be quickly and easily redesigned with carpet tiles in no time at all. The individual plain-coloured tiles can be laid end to end over a large area.
With structured tiles in one colour or with carpet tiles in several colours, you can also create checkerboard patterns or other graphic patterns in the room. Arrows indicating the direction of laying are printed on the textile backing. These arrows make it easy for you to create the desired pattern. The carpet tiles can be laid on sensitive floors without any concerns. A fleece coating on the back of the tiles ensures that the bitumen backing does not leave any marks.
These self-lying carpet tiles can be laid in rooms with little traffic. If you only lay a few tiles across the room as a route, we recommend that you always fix carpet tiles in place using adhesive tape or glue.
Please note: What applies to a living room cannot be applied 1:1 to a heavily frequented commercial area or to a well-attended event! Here, the loop pile carpet tiles usually have to be glued.. These carpet tiles in particular are too light to remain stable when they are laid and subject to heavy foot traffic . These carpet tiles can slip as a result of heavy use!
