The removable double-sided adhesive tape offers two different sides in terms of adhesive strength : The covered side is extra strong (adhesives: acrylate + rubber, high adhesive strength 14.8 N/cm) – it provides a secure hold for all types of fastenings. The exposed side, which is bonded to the substrate , has a low adhesive strength (adhesive: acrylate, adhesive strength 1.48 N/cm) and can be removed without leaving any residue for at least two weeks.
A removable double-sided adhesive tape is particularly suitable for use as a laying tape on sensitive surfaces, for example for temporarily laying carpets or PVC coverings at trade fairs.
The removable double-sided adhesive tape offers several other advantages: The thin, adaptable film carrier ( thickness 0.15 mm without protective film) is easy to pull off the roll and can be repositioned. The double-sided removable adhesive tape GT 702 is a premium double-sided adhesive tape that can be removed without leaving any residue and is suitable for short-term bonding, especially on sensitive surfaces . The tape is self-adhesive on both sides and has different adhesives: The side facing the surface, which is coated with an acrylate adhesive ( ), is weakly adhesive and can be removed for at least two weeks.
The covered side of the adhesive tape (top), which is cleanly separated by a protective film and equipped with a permanently adhesive acrylate-rubber adhesive, has a particularly high adhesive strength (14.8 N/cm!) and is perfect for the strong fastening of e.g. carpets, PVC flooring, decorations or other accessories.
The double-sided adhesive tape is suitable for universal use indoors and outdoors. The easily removable double-sided adhesive tape is coated on both sides with a thin adhesive film made of acrylate or acrylate + rubber, which is precisely separated from each other by a film carrier. The adhesive strength of the two sides is different (extremely strong and significantly weaker). Important to know for your fastenings:
- The open side, which adheres to the substrate, has a low adhesive strength (1.48 N/cm) and can be repositioned. It has particularly good repositionability ( ) on smooth and porous surfaces and can be removed easily without leaving any residue.
- The side facing upwards, which is cleanly covered by a siliconised protective film, has extremely strong adhesive properties (14.8 N/cm) and is permanently adhesive. This side is used for bonding surfaces that are difficult to bond, for example in exhibition stand construction to attach the backs of carpets that are difficult to bond, and much more.
Removable without residue: The open side can be easily removed without leaving any residue. Thanks to the foil backing, the tape can be removed particularly easily from smooth surfaces, often even in one piece without leaving any residue. To do this, pull the adhesive tape slowly at a 90° angle.

As the double-sided adhesive tape can be removed for at least 2 weeks, it is very versatile. We recommend the double-sided adhesive tape especially asa temporary carpet adhesive tape for exhibition carpets or as a laying tape for PVC floors and dance floors on sensitive surfaces. The extremely strong adhesive side sticks securely to the carpet, while the weak adhesive side sticks well to smooth surfaces and can be removed without leaving any residue after events or trade fairs .
The double-sided tape removable GT 702 is easy to roll off the roll. It cannot be torn by hand, but can be cut to size with scissors or a cutter. Please press the double-sided adhesive tape down firmly. Then remove the protective paper and press the surface to be bonded firmly onto the tape. The greater the pressure applied, the better the tape will adhere.
