With the hoist flag in portrait format, you are purchasing a high-quality flag in a popular format. The material – flag fabric – is durable, weatherproof and, and is individually printed in high resolution and colour-intensive quality.
The flag is made of 110 g/m² flag fabric, a durable and lightweight material that is 30% wind-permeable and UV-stable and weatherproof for up to 2 years. The flag is also flame-retardant and B1-certified (DIN 4102).
We print the hoist flag individually with your desired motif, single-sided in 6c digital print, in high-resolution quality with intense colours.
You can order the hoist flag in portrait format in the size 150 x 400 cm in various designs – suitable for a flagpole with or without a bracket, 8-12 m high. Each flag is reinforced with a trim band on the pole side and is attached to the pole with eyelets or plastic snap hooks (every 100 cm). The top edge is available with a simple hem or a hemstitch (8 cm) – so that your advertising is perfectly visible even when there is no wind!

Hoist-flag portrait format 150 x 400 cm
Do you want advertising flags for your event? Flags for the trade fair or high-quality flags for your company? Then the large hoist flag in the format 150 x 400 cm (suitable for flagpoles with 8-12 m) is exactly what you need!
The hoist flag made of flag fabric 110 g/m² is of high quality and stable. The material (100% polyester) is B1 certified, flame retardant and weather resistant for 0.5 - 2 years and UV stable, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The light fabric is 30% wind permeable and very translucent.
We print hoist flags on one side with intense colours and high resolution (6c sublimation print) with your desired motif. The permeable material has a good print-through of 60%, so your motif is clearly visible on both sides.
For maximum stability, the flag is hemmed on two sides, and the side edge has eyelets or carabiner hooks (plastic) every 100 cm for attachment to the flagpole. The upper edge is optionally finished with a hollow seam (ø 4 cm) for a boom – for optimal visibility of your advertising message, even when there is no wind!

- Put the hoist flag in your shopping basket and complete the order.
- After a successful purchase, you will receive an order confirmation for your product and a link to our data sheet, which contains important information regarding the creation and transmission of print data.
- After that, you will receive a second e-mail with an order confirmation and a personalised link for uploading your print data.
- The order confirmation also contains the expected delivery time (approx. 5 to 6 working days).

Hoist flags made of flag fabric 110 g/m² – material in detail
We make hoist flags out of 110 g/m² flag fabric, a high-quality material that is specially designed to meet the requirements of flags.
Flag fabric is a light yet stable polyester fabric. The material is mesh-proof and impresses with its good durability and weather resistance. Further properties:

Note: The information on weather and UV resistance has been determined in studies under Central European conditions. Use in regions with different climatic conditions (high humidity, strong UV radiation), such as in southern European countries, tropical areas and desert regions, as well as in areas with heavy air pollution or at high altitudes, will cause a faster ageing process.

For which flagpoles is the hoist flag suitable?
- For flagpoles from 8-12 m: As a rule of thumb for portrait format flags: the flag should fill about half of the pole height. The 4 m high flag is therefore suitable for flagpoles from about 8 m to 12 m.
- For flagpoles with or without outriggers: For poles with outriggers, choose the flag with a hollow hem. The hollow hem measures 8 cm when laid flat, so it is suitable for outriggers up to a maximum diameter of 4 cm.
Individual flag in brilliant print quality
Textile materials such as flag fabric are particularly absorbent, which is why printing on fabrics generally produces very rich, brilliant colours. We print the flag fabric in our event print shop using high-resolution 6c digital printing (thermosublimation printing). This involves printing the ink onto the fabric and then evaporating it with heat. This results in a colour-intensive print image with perfect through-printing.
The printed hoist flag is single-sided, but the material has a print-through of approx. 60%, so your print motif is visible on both sides. However, it is mirror-inverted on the back and the colours are slightly less intense. Flag fabric is also translucent, and how visible the print motif is on the back depends on the lighting and the incidence of light. The surface of the fabric is silk-matt and non-reflective.
A useful tip for print motifs: vertical arrows as signage or direction signs do not make sense on flags, as the flag will point in a different direction depending on the wind direction. Arrows pointing straight down, on the other hand, are useful.
Flag fabric and its UV and weather resistance
Flag fabric is a light, yet very stable, high-quality and weatherproof material of excellent quality.
Many manufacturers claim that flags are UV and weather resistant for three years. This is true if the fabric is used primarily indoors. However, this information is not always realistic for outdoor use. Flags are among the textiles that are physically subjected to the greatest wear and tear. They are often exposed to sun, wind and weather at heights of 10 metres and more for long periods of time. Three years is not realistic here, as factors such as weather and strong winds can lead to material wear sooner or later, depending on the location. It is therefore difficult to provide a general specification. To be on the safe side, we therefore specify 0.5–2 years of UV stability and weather resistance.
Note: You should take down hoisted flags in strong winds!
Information on the care and storage of the flag
The hoist flag is easy to care for and can be washed at 30°C with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle. However, washing and ironing can cause the fabric to lose its flame retardancy. The flag can only be returned to B1 status by professional impregnation with flame retardants.
For a wrinkle-free storage, we recommend folding or rolling up the hoist flag loosely. Also, make sure that the fabric is absolutely dry to avoid mould growth.
