Please note: The rubber mat demonstrates high elasticity and ageing resistance at temperatures between -30°C and + 90°C. However, prolonged overheating or very low temperatures can cause the mat to become brittle or rigid.
Surface and underside of the fine mesh rubber mat
As a non-slip covering on both sides, the fine mesh rubber mat ( ) ensures safety. The mat in black offers two different anti-slip sides:
The top side is finely ribbed with longitudinal grooves or ridges (fine ribs 2.5 mm wide). The non-slipunderside of the with a honeycomb structure ( nubbed) ensures excellent adhesion to almost any floor or other surface (asphalt, lawn, shelf compartments, loading ramps, etc.).
Would you like to stick the fine mesh rubber mat? The back of the cable mat is ideal for sticking. The structure provides an ideal adhesive surface for adhesive tape or adhesives of all kinds.
Information about the material SBR rubber
Despite the excellent mechanical and chemical resistance of the material, fine mesh rubber mats made of SBR are only conditionally resistant to petrol and oil ( grease/petrol) and should not be used in areas where they come into contact with food.
Please note the initially unpleasant smell of fine mesh rubber mats! Are you planning to use them indoors? SBR rubber has a high proportion of recycled rubber, which results in a strong inherent odour that cannot always be completely removed even by prolonged ventilation. As a rubber mat for indoor use, we therefore recommend our low-odour rubber mat measuring 0.5 x 5 m.
Fine mesh rubber mats with or without insert? What are the advantages?
A fine ribbed mat with insert generally increases resistance to mechanical stress and thus significantly delays wear and tear during long-term use. If you want to use the mat more often, we recommend the fine ribbed mat with fabric insert.
Good to know! As there have been some misunderstandings among customers, we would like to point out that regardless of whether you purchase fine mesh rubber mats with or without inserts, each mat can be easily torn off lengthwise in a groove. The high tear resistance refers to the mechanical impact and tensile strength as well as the transverse tear.
Fine mesh rubber mats: quick and easy to cut
Cutting fine mesh rubber mats is child's play: roll out the mat, place an edge guide if necessary, cut with a cutter, and you're done! Even curves and small, precise cuts in compartments, drawers and shelves can be achieved perfectly thanks to the fine mesh.
Rubber mats by the metre: In our shop , you can only buy fine mesh rubber mats in rolls. Rubber mats by the metre or cut to size are not available from us . However, we can supply rolls in other sizes or colours on request .
SBR vs. NBR mats
SBR is a synthetic rubber (standard elastomer) with an excellent price-performance ratio. Due to its above-average hardness (65 +/-5 Shore A), this plastic is mainly used in industrial applications, for example for rubber seals or in the manufacture of tyres. The material guarantees good weather and ageing resistance. Styrene-butadiene rubber is also resistant to grease and oil and offers high resistance to alkalis, many acids and caustic solutions (cleaning agents). The 3 mm thick rubber sheets insulate against impact sound and heat and cold (e.g. cold floors) and are excellent electrical insulators compared to NBR rubber .
Advantages of NBR rubber: Are you looking for a rubber mat that is resistant to mineral oil or petrol (diesel fuel)? For use in a car workshop, for example? Then we recommend NBR mats (nitrile rubber).

In event supplies, it is used as an anti-slip mat to secure loads and to protect against slipping on damp and sloping surfaces. The main application here is as a base for stage barriers and safety barriers.
As an inexpensive alternative to cable protectors, it is a well-insulating cable mat for protection against moisture and mechanical damage to cables, wires and hoses. In black, the cable mat can be laid inconspicuously on the stage. The 0.50 m wide cable protection mat is particularly popular here. The solid rubber fine mesh rubber mat is also popular as a protective mat to prevent tripping hazards or to protect certain surfaces or sensitive floor coverings from damage. The structure of the reverse side (fabric pattern) ensures non-slip adhesion in all cases.
Workplace mats for workshop and industrial use
Fine mesh rubber mats are used as workplace mats, especially as fine-mesh, non-slip workbench covers or as hard-wearing tool trays and non-slip shelf inserts in tool trolleys, drawers or tool boxes. The mats can be easily cut to size with a cutter. Fine mesh rubber mats can also be used as shock-absorbing hammer mats. The hardness of this rubber mat is ideal for this purpose, but the mat thickness of 3 mm is not necessarily sufficient as a shock mat. However, if you lay several cut-to-size pieces of individual rubber mats on top of each other, these fine-ribbed mats can also be used. When laid as non-slip floor coverings or partially on damp walking areas or stair treads, fine mesh rubber mats are ideal workplace mats.
