This flame-retardant needle felt carpet (Bfl-s1 according to EN 13501-1) is suitable for temporary use at trade shows, events, and in public areas. With a weight of 680 g/m², a pile height of 5 mm, and a smooth surface in elegant velour finish, this high-load-bearing needle felt carpet provides a robust, modern flooring solution with good sound insulation (approx. 25 dB) and excellent walkability.
The velour structure is low-maintenance, resistant to stains, cut-proof, dimensionally stable, and lint-free. The high-quality flame-retardant velour is easily laid edge-to-edge and secured with double-sided cloth tape. The needle felt flooring roll measures 200 cm in width and 30 m in length and weighs approximately 42 kg.

A needle felt carpet with a velour look is a modern floor covering that can be quickly and easily laid in a variety of ways at trade fairs and other events, as well as in commercial and even heavily used residential spaces. Compared to the exhibition carpets usually used at events, this needle felt velour is particularly comfortable. The high-quality needle felt carpets look and feel almost like real velour carpets.
A needle felt carpet is extremely robust and durable, as well as being particularly easy to care for. The carpet is resistant to stains. The material (polypropylene) is also flame retardant. Needle felt carpet is certified according to EN 13501-1 with the fire behaviour Bfl-s1 for floor coverings and therefore allows safe installation at public events .
The needle felt velour is available in 30 m roll lengths (200 cm wide ) and can be quickly and easily laid on the floor. The carpet is 5 mm thick. Compared to other textile floor coverings, this needle felt is particularly sound-absorbing thanks to its high weight of approx. 680 g/m ². absorbs disturbing noises, which improves the acoustics of the rooms and has a particularly positive effect on sound. Needle felt is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, although use in outdoor areas should only be for short periods.

What is needle felt?
Needle felt or needle punch differs from other carpets in the way it is manufactured:
A suitable carpet for living and less for the commercial sector, for example, is the velour carpet, which is often laid in the areas of children's rooms, bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms due to its soft quality. This carpet is tufted during production. This means that individual carpet threads or tufts are attached through a carrier fabric in loops. To give the cut pile its smooth surface, the loops are cut in a final step. This is how loop pile carpet is created, which you can buy in shops under the name cut pile carpet.
In contrast: needle felt velour
A needle felt or needle felt is made up of many small, synthetic, often recycled fibres. These fibres are interwoven as a random layer with the help of needles with barbs, firmly felted and then pressed together in many layers. This results in very compact carpets that are particularly robust and durable. The look, i.e. the surface appearance of a needle felt carpet, is given to the floor covering during the last pressing, often with the help of heat. This is how, for example, needle felt qualities can be created that have a smooth surface (cut pile needle felt = flat felt carpet) or a ribbed surface (ribbed).

Modern carpet tiles are quick and easy to lay. The tiles are of high quality at approx. 3000 g/m², they are self-lying (not self-adhesive) and can also be laid in areas subject to heavy wear. The square tiles are often combined in different colours or laid in a checkerboard pattern. Available in a range of colours, the tiles can be used as a design floor at trade fairs or events, for example, to match a company logo. Laying needle felt carpet
This floor covering is easy to lay: just roll it out, cut it with a craft knife, fix it in place, and you're done! Several lengths in the room can be laid end to end. Intarsia cuts are also quite easy with this quality. You want to cover an object? For example, a podium, a stage or columns? Needle felt carpet can be used for this as well. We recommend double-sided tape for gluing the floor coverings. To prevent tripping, a tape in a matching colour can be used for edge bonding.
Accessories for the correct installation of floor coverings
To make sure that laying is fun, quick and gives you a beautiful end result, we naturally also have the right accessories for you. With the help of these products, laying becomes a breeze:

Needle felt is easy to care for – What needs to be considered for storage?
The needle felt velour made of polypropylene is very easy to care for. The carpet cannot absorb water and does not discolour as quickly as other textile carpets when it gets dirty. The carpet should be cleaned regularly with a vacuum cleaner. Stains can be treated with clear water or mild soapy water. We recommend that the needlefelt carpet be rolled up and stored horizontally after use, and protected from UV radiation.
