Does exhibition carpet meet fire safety requirements for public events?

All exhibition carpets available here are classified as Bfl-s1 in accordance with EN 13501-1 and certified as B1 under DIN 4102, thus meeting the stringent fire safety requirements applicable to many public events. The corresponding fire safety certificate is provided with your purchase of the exhibition carpet. Important: The certification is valid only when used as a floor covering. If the exhibition carpet is used for other purposes, such as wall cladding, the certificate is not valid. In our Glossary , you will find further information on the topic of flame-retardant flooring.

Can I order a sample of the exhibition carpets?

Yes, you can request a sample sheet of our exhibition carpets. If you would like to check the colour and texture of the exhibition carpets before purchasing or compare them with other materials, we will be happy to send you a sample. Simply send us a brief request via the contact form .

Is exhibition carpet also available by the metre?

In our shop, exhibition carpets are available as rolled goods in various lengths and widths. We do not stock them by the metre, but custom cuts to your desired dimensions can be easily made using a cutter.

Can exhibition carpet be laid outdoors?

Exhibition carpet can be laid outdoors for short periods. However, please note that the carpet is sensitive to cold and the fibres may become brittle at sub-zero temperatures. The critical temperature threshold is approximately -7°C to -12°C. Additionally, the carpet may become slippery in heavy rain.

Can I lay the carpet on stairs or walkways?

The Rips trade show carpet can be laid on stairs or walkways provided it is secured with double-sided adhesive tape to prevent slipping. The side edges should also be secured with adhesive tape to avoid tripping hazards. Ensure the carpet is suitable for the increased load on stairs.

Which adhesive tape is suitable for securing?

For securing, especially for edge bonding of exhibition carpets, adhesive cloth tape GT 571 in black, white, and grey is suitable, as well as the coloured GT 571 , which is available to match any carpet colour. Additionally, we recommend double-sided tape GT 703 for slip-resistant fixation.

How do I care for and clean exhibition carpet?

Exhibition carpet is particularly low-maintenance. The surface is dirt-repellent. In most cases, a vacuum cleaner or broom is sufficient for cleaning. Stains can be removed with a mild cleaning agent. For best results, use a soft brush and circular motions, working from the outside in. This lifts the stain rather than rubbing it deeper into the carpet fibres.
