Police grids are suitable for stable, versatile barriers with pressure from people. A police grid, also known as a hamburger grid, hamburger rider, demo grid or crowd control grid, is used, for example, to guide crowds, to restrict demonstrations or to fence off parades or an area.
The galvanised steel police grids (hot-dip galvanised according to DIN ISO 1461) are durable and extremely stable, ensuring a high level of safety. The easy-to-connect hook and eye system and the relatively low weight allow for particularly quick assembly compared to construction fences and barricades.

Police grids type L as temporary barriers
Police grids – also known as hamburger grids, hamburger riders or demo grids ( ) – are safety barriers that can be set up quickly and securely thanks to hooks and eyelets. Police grids L are suitable for guiding visitor flows and cordoning off certain areas, for example at events, parades, demonstrations, etc.
The police grid is made of steel and hot-dip galvanised in accordance with DIN ISO 1461, making it very robust, weather-resistant and durable. A fence element has a height of 100 cm and is 200 cm wide. The special feature of police grids is the approx. 60 cm deep, integrated tread surface, which ensures a high level of stability: on the one hand, this is due to the right-angled attachment of the tread surface and the weight of the people standing on it. For additional stability, diagonal support struts are attached on the other side.
Police grids can be connected to form rows of any length and are particularly quick to set up. Each police grid weighs approx. 33 kg and can be easily positioned by 1 to 2 people.
Please note: Are you planning a large event with very high crowd pressure? Please check whether police grids are suitable for this application. For extreme crowd pressure, such as a crowd in front of a large festival stage, specially designed stage barricades are recommended.
