The type U police grid, also known as the hamburger grid, can be purchased at for flexible barriers with pressure from people. The simple hook and eyelet system allows quick and easy connection of the grids. Any number of safety barriers can be connected, and angles in the barrier are also possible.
The police grids are made of robust steel and hot-dip galvanised in accordance with DIN SO 1461, making them robust, durable and weather-resistant. With a height of 110 cm, the grid is approximately at hip height. Thelength of a grid is 210 cm. A practical hook and eyelet system ensures quick and easy assembly. The hamburger grid type U can even be folded up for transport or storage . The police grids weigh approx. 47 kg and can be easily set up by two people.

Police grids type U - hamburger grids for more safety at events
Hamburger grids, also known as police grids and Hamburg riders, are robust safety barriers for a wide range of applications thanks to their hot-dip galvanisation in accordance with DIN ISO 1461 . Whether as demo grids for police use, as foldable stage grids for events or for fencing off areas in public spaces – the sturdy safety barrier made of steel has a total length of 2.10 m and a height of 1.10 m. The safety barrier with integrated tread surface is 1.00 m deep and has a tread surface with a stable mesh insert that is 60 cm deep. The weight of one barrier element is approx. 47 kg.
The special feature of this safety barrier is that it can be folded up for transport or storage. For this purpose , there are safety pins on the diagonal struts which prevent the barrier from collapsing when assembled or can be removed for transport. This allows the safety barriers to be stored in a space-saving manner.
The hamburger grid type U can be connected to form a safety barrier of any length using a hook and eyelet system. It is quick and easy to set up and requires no additional tools. On request, we can also supply you with matching square tube stacking pallets on which you can transport and store 10 hamburger grids when folded.
Please note: Police grids are less suitable for large events with very high crowd pressure, such as in front of concert stages at large festivals. For extreme loads with pressing crowds, the erection of stage barricades is always recommended.
