Butyl Tape Kip 241 is a self-welding sealing tape made of butyl rubber. This high-quality insulating and sealing tape is self-welding, i.e. it sticks to itself (without adhesive) and is airtight and waterproof.
The butyl tape is suitable for airtight and watertight sealing, as (electrical) insulating tape for electrical cables (dielectric strength 35 KV/mm), etc. The extremely elastic sealing tape can also be used as repair tape for hoses, pipes and cables in low-pressure applications. The insulating tape is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, even under water.

Use as sealing tape, insulating tape and repair tape
This self-sealing sealing tape is suitable for a wide range of applications. It can be used for sealing, repairing and insulating indoors and outdoors, is permanently weather-resistant and can be used at temperatures from -40°C to +90°C.
The extremely elastic butyl tape impresses with its simple, fast processing: it is extremely adaptable to shape, permanently elastic and has excellent adhesion to almost any surface. Simply wrap the adhesive tape several times under tension (stretch) and it will immediately bond to itself and provide a reliable seal. Thanks to its self-welding properties, the butyl tape is durable, can be removed without leaving any residue, but is not reusable.
