Fluorescent marking tape in use

Luminous tapes with a fluorescent coating are easy to stick on and glow particularly brightly when exposed to light. These warning tapes are mainly used in the film and entertainment industry, but also for parties and decoration. They can be used to mark stair steps and indicate escape routes and are highly visible in the dark – this helps you avoid tripping hazards, maintain an overview at all times and thus contribute significantly to the safety of your event. The luminous marking tape can be removed from almost all surfaces over a long period of time, and its adhesive does not damage floors or sensitive surfaces.

For optimum adhesive properties, please note the following:

• Always carry out a test application
• Do not touch the adhesive surfaces of the tape with your hands
• Press the luminous tape firmly for good immediate adhesion
• Observe the optimum application temperature (approx. +18°C to +22°C)
• Remove adhesive tape slowly and evenly at an 80° angle
• Store in a dry place away from light, preferably in the original packaging (max. 12 months)

Comparison of fluorescent adhesive tape vs. phosphorescent adhesive tape

Fluorescent adhesive tapes are coated with daylight-coloured pigments. Their luminous pigments convert artificial or UV light into visible light. This means that fluorescent marking tapes are particularly effective in cloudy weather and at dusk, when there is a high proportion of blue in the daylight. Fluorescent adhesive tapes achieve their highest luminosity in the dark when illuminated by lamps or spotlights, commonly known as "black light".

Phosphorescent adhesive tapes, on the other hand, can store light energy and release it gradually over time. They are known for their "glow in the dark" effect and are therefore considered luminescent.
