The tarpaulin carrier is made of HDPE fabric – high-density polyethylene. These tarpaulins are more resistant than conventional PVC tarpaulins from DIY stores. In addition, the outer fabric is laminated with a coating of LDPE foils and UV-stabilised.

What is a fabric tarpaulin? And how does it differ from a PVC tarpaulin?
Unlike a full-surface PVC tarpaulin, fabric tarpaulins are made from tape fabric. This means that fabric tarpaulins consist of individual film strips that are woven at right angles (warp/weft). The fabric, which was originally developed as green ground fabric (for weed protection), now offers reliable protection in many areas . Whether used as a cover tarpaulin or on a fence, a tarpaulin manufactured in this way is able to withstand higher tensile forces. Under load, for example when tensioned or exposed to wind, the tarpaulins do not tear so quickly. In addition, the cover tarpaulins only lose some of their strength when damaged and do not tear completely straight away; they have good tear resistance.

Cleaning and storing fabric tarpaulins
The tarpaulins can be easily cleaned with water and mild soapy water. Stubborn dirt can also be removed with a high-pressure cleaner. Please do not use cleaning agents containing chlorine. Also make sure that the tarpaulin is completely dry before storing it. The fabric tarpaulin can be stored in a space-saving manner when folded or rolled up. Creases can be removed during the next installation by tensioning the fabric tarpaulin.
