Printed safety vests are highly visible advertising media and, first and foremost, an important part of personal protective equipment. In yellow and orange, the signal vest meets the EN ISO 20471 standard, a revised standard for high-visibility warning clothing that has been in force since October 2013. The safety vests with imprint meet all the necessary criteria for safety and visual visibility in daylight and darkness.

We will print the safety vest for you on one or both sides. The imprint can be in one colour or up to four colours. Usually, individual logos or lettering are screen-printed on the vest. Other printing methods or reflective imprints, flocking or imprints with colour gradients are possible on request.

You can buy the high-visibility vests according to EN ISO 20471 in our shop in yellow and orange. The vests from Korntex are made of polyester in fluorescent daylight colour and have two all-round reflective signal stripes and a practical Velcro fastener on the front.

The signal vest print can be individually designed and printed on one or both sides. The back and chest are available for printing . To comply with the EN ISO 20471 regulations, the branding areas given below must not be exceeded. Larger prints no longer meet the standard. There are no additional costs, the cliché costs are included.

Print area dimensions:

• Front: 10 x 10 cm
• Back: 30 x 20 cm

As standard, the safety vest can be printed in one, two, three or four colours. We also print safety vests in custom colours. Please note the desired RAL or Pantone values.

Ordering printed safety vests EN ISO 20471 – this is how it's done:

• Add the safety vests to your shopping basket and complete your order.
• After a successful purchase, you will receive an order confirmation for your products and a link to our data sheet, which contains important information regarding the creation and transmission of the print data.
• You will then receive a second e-mail with an order confirmation and a personalised link for uploading your print data.
• The order confirmation also contains the estimated delivery date* (approx. 1 to 2 weeks).
• We check your data for printability. We automatically correct minor errors for you. If the resolution or similar is not correct, we will actively contact you. This service is free of charge for you!
• As soon as the data is correct, your products will go to print.
• The safety vests will be shipped to you after production.

Exception: advance payment. In this case, we will not start production of your printed matter until we have received your payment. Accordingly, the delivery date depends on when we receive your payment

Care and storage of printed high-visibility vests

To avoid compromising the signal effect and reflective properties of the safety vests, please follow these storage and care instructions:

• Prolonged exposure to UV light damages the fluorescence (daylight luminous paint with high reflectivity).
• According to the new safety vest requirement, a safety vest may not be washed more than 5 times.
• Do not iron, bleach or dry clean printed signal vests.
• Treatment in the dryer also endangers the reflection values.
• According to the high-visibility vest requirement for motor vehicles: Store within reach in the interior of the car (protected from sunlight in the glove compartment or side pocket).

Printed safety vests according to EN ISO 20471

The new standard for high-visibility clothing has been in force since 1 October 2013. It replaces EN 471, a previously valid standard for high-visibility clothing for PPE. The revision was carried out, among other things, with regard to the points of ageing, the design of the high-visibility clothing and the definition of risk situations. This definition now refers to the hazardous situation of the person and no longer to the occupational activity. Printed safety vests that are certified according to EN ISO 20471:2013 must have reflective surfaces of 0.13 m² and areas in fluorescent daylight colours (yellow and orange) of 0.5 m². This ensures that the wearer of a safety vest is always clearly visible in all daylight conditions and in the dark. Incidentally, the reflective properties of the high-visibility clothing in the dark are only guaranteed when the reflective strips are illuminated, either by dipped headlights or properly positioned lighting, e.g. on construction sites. The safety vests' imprint must not exceed defined dimensions.

High-visibility vests are mandatory in Germany – even in private vehicles

In other European countries, a significant reduction in accidents has already been achieved through various safety vest requirements. From 1 July 2014, safety vests will now also be mandatory in Germany. What has long been the case for commercial vehicles now also applies to all private, two-track motor vehicles. The requirement for safety vests means that the driver must carry a safety vest, and regular passengers must also carry one. We recommend that all passengers carry a safety vest. Always stow the safety vest in accordance with EN ISO 20471 within easy reach and wear the safety vest in the event of an accident. By the way: if the print area dimensions are observed, the safety vests can also be worn as a printed safety vest in the event of an accident.

Printed safety vests at events

A safety vest printed with a logo, motif or lettering is an unmissable advertising medium at events. The bright neon yellow colour and the reflective strips ensure that the wearer is clearly identified. Safety vests with imprint on both sides achieve a high advertising impact and are also an inexpensive advertising medium.

The printed signal vests not only contribute to safety but also to improved organisation. On the construction site, during the set-up and dismantling of events, the helpers, roadies and hands can be easily identified by means of safety vests. The individual imprint on the vest allows a clear assignment of the employees.

During an event, safety vests with imprint "Security", "Staff" or "Stewards" make the course of an event considerably easier.
