Unprinted signal vests serve as identification vests during a production or event. You can order the signal vests in 8 different colours – ideal for distinguishing different groups of people such as security, ushers, etc. at a glance.

The reflective strips all around the vest make it easier to see even in the dark, and the size of the safety vest can be adjusted using the two Velcro fasteners on the front. For added safety, signal vests should always be worn closed.

Optionally, you can also have the signal vests printed.

Signal vests – details

The striking colour – in the case of brightly coloured signal vests – and the two reflective strips, each 50 mm wide, help to make the signal vest highly visible. Incident light is largely reflected back to the light source by the reflective strips. The signal vest material is reflective over an area of 0.13 m². The vest only provides maximum safety when fully closed with the Velcro fastener.

However, the signal vests in red, white, black, grey, green, purple and blue do not meet the requirements of a fluorescent day-glow colour.

You canalsoorder the safety vests in yellow and orange in the shop. These vests are certified according to the new standard EN ISO 20471.

The signal vests in the colours red, white, black, grey, pink, green, purple and blue do not comply with either EN471 or the new EN ISO 20471. They are therefore not suitable as safety vests for cars in the context of the requirement to carry safety vests, which applies in various European countries and has also applied in Germany since 1 July 2014.

Safety vests for production and events

If the requirements for PPE do not stipulate anything special, then the coloured signal vests are suitable for many event-related tasks. The vest helps to make a production site more visible, thereby increasing safety in dangerous, confusing situations.

During production, large open-air events and festivals are very busy. To ensure that everyone involved is clearly organised, they can wear these colourful signal vests in various colours as identification vests. Depending on their area of responsibility, the helpers wear the signal vest in a different colour.

Storing and caring for the signal vest

Some factors can impair the signalling effect of a signal vest. These include: ironing, bleaching, machine drying and dry cleaning. Long-term, direct sunlight should also be avoided, as UV light significantly reduces the reflective properties. If the signal vest is very dirty or worn, it should be disposed of.
